your probably right, can only see north and berri having one win between them for the rest of the season. will be a big night next saturday at one of those clubs

I think you'll be incorrect by a long way there Fully Loaded Man. You might even be wrong by tomorrow night.

looking back didn't think i would be so right...

talking to a few berri lads on sunday and it looks like they will lose storic, pearson, franks and brooks next year. with not much in their b's and thirds could be another long season next year unless they appoint a coach who can attract a few decent players to replace these guys who are probably their top 4 players.

The top 4 thing is generous FLM, but I have no intention of playing elsewhere next year.

Hey what's this rumour about the Magpies chatting to two star Riverland players? One already mentioned here but also a very surprising name from Berri?

Good luck for the finals all - should be a belter of a series.

$500 a game not to play.
The current editor of the River news is doing a reasonable job, can't see him moving on.

Guessing the main people they would be interested in would be Harwood or Spectalidis, If brooks, storic and franks are not comming back

Honestly? - Hated it.

I've barely missed a dozen games of footy in my 15 seasons of RFL/RIFL.

First major injury i ever copped and i've been off work for 8 weeks now!

Paringa will probably go on and win the flag too, its Karma from last season! :D

I do wanna note that the one game i played was their highest score for the year and their biggest win and kick started their 9 game win streak after losing to Cobby then Wunkar! :D

It was good having Saturdays free to do what you want and Sundays were so much more pain free (cept hangovers).

But the andrenalin pumps and nostrils flare whenever i smell deep heat so i'm probably gonna play on for a few years yet as long as the knee holds up.

Are you thinking of retirement DW?

Its just occurred to me that doing a pre-season with the Rovers probably attributed to the knee blowing out. First pre-season since 2004 and i end up playing 1 game.

.....and the Kharma thing mentioned before.......the last time we played on the Paringa oval i believe a few things were said that perhaps weren't needed and gave a broadside to the entire team, coach and club of Paringa (not their supporters - reserved for Cobby ;) )

They were chanting "Paringa" at me, and after being President, Coach, 100+ game player, medal winner and even designer of the actual guernseys they were wearing whilst abusing me. Which i thought was a bit off considering i didnt WANT to leave in the first place, it was play footy elsewhere or dont play at all, as i wasnt getting a game at Paringa

So the next time i played on that oval, i'm sure the laws of Kharma came into play, and now i have missed a chance of a 4th Premiership with the club. :(

But the guys have done great and deserve to win it and good luck to them, especially Brendan King.

Does your back cause hamsring problems for you or is it purely lower back pain?

Imagine if there were an injury called "hamsring" - sounds nasty! :D

It does cause hamstring problems when I don't maintain it.
But generally it is lower back stiffness, which develops into pain...again if I don't manage it.
In terms of my back - this year was the best it's been for years and only impacted on me in the last two rounds.
I'll play B grade next year because a) North has a rule about training twice a week and I'm tired of that, and b) I've proved my point to myself and achieved what I set out to do this season.
So, B grade it is.
