Clubs, especially Port need to find some young home grown talent. Mark Tylor still seems to be the front runner as i see Scotty didnt put in for the job. I hear he is talking to Kilburn.

WTF? Not sure what Port Adelaide you are talking about but 80% of the Reserves and 2/3s of the League are from the U18s.

You have no idea what you are on about. Tony releases and promotes as many players from the U18 as possible for reserve grade selection.
There are currently 4 players playing reserve grade that started in the U18 this year. 3 of these are U17. There has also been another 5 players who have played in the reserves from the U18 group.
Premierships at any level are very important, but i can assure you producing footballers capable of playing league footy or AFL footy is equally as important.

I think beenreal credits Tony Bamford for alot of the work Tylor has done. Even if those facts are true slots it through is that enough reason for Bamford to be coaching the league side? IMO he has done bugger all, especially compared to Tylor.

By the sounds of it beenreal you must be tied up in somewhat with the u\18s, ( coachAssistant
) especially with the way you quickly defend any criticism directed to the "COACH" when it comes to players progressing through to the Reserves or League ranks.
I must say 80% of 18s in the Reserves & 2\3rds of the 18s in the League side is the biggest amount of sh!t i've heard in a long time, you can't be serious stating that sort of crap on here, you may well be getting something in return for pumping up the tyres of the man in charge of the 18s but theres still a big difference to coaching League football to u\18s.

Good call NM.
I was talking to a young Rooster player at work and they have had no less than 20 kids from this years U/18 squad play reserves or higher, 8 this week. The Eagles have had 4 debutants in their league side in the last month. Port cant compare with those numbers. This is what ive been trying to say, they dont promote juniors.
