How about this for a Jockey Challenge?

Stewards investigate jockey fight
The Age
Pat Bartley reports

RACING Victoria stewards have launched an inquiry into a fight between two female jockeys at yesterday's Echuca meeting.

Stewards opened the inquiry after Nikita Beriman and Stacey Rawiller clashed in the female jockeys' room after the running of the sixth race, the Moama Bowling Club 0-62 handicap.

Stewards ordered that Rawiller be examined by the club doctor, who said the apprentice could not fulfil her engagements for the rest of the meeting.

Beriman was also examined but was cleared to continue riding, finishing fourth and third in two later races.

Stewards took evidence from Beriman and Rawiller, as well as from two other riders, Linda Meech and Amanda Masters. Beriman finished fifth in race six on Lazy Dynamite and Rawiller was 10th on Keithie.

The chief steward at Echuca, Heidi Lester, confirmed there had been an altercation. ''Yes, there was an altercation and Stacey Rawiller was unable to ride on but because there is a pending inquiry I can make no further comment,'' Lester said.

Rightio, I'm relying on Sportsbet (it and Betfair are the only two which have escaped the work internet filter) which doesn't update the rides.

Nice start for Melham, with Rawiller missing out. Good start for Symons too with an unexpected point on a 24-1 shot.
