Footy boots, I agree, Scott deserved at least another season to get the club back on track, But I prefer to be a "now " not a "then" person. those were the cards that were dealt, lets accept it and get on with it. I'm a bit over some people dropping their bottom lip when things havent gone their way to be honest. Mistake or not, These people have to decide to be part of the solution or part of the problem, but nobody wins when they are part of the problem. Some people stuck when things were good, but went missing when the sleeves needed to be rolled up. We need less whingers and more doers. Nothing lasts forever and theres no point staying stuck in the past.

Anyone have any idea who Freeling would be looking at for their head coach? New coach or experienced?

Steve Eichner as playing coach with open cheque book would be the only sensible option it worked for Leal.

ph- depends what your definition of working is i guess. 3 grand finals no premierships followed by 2 wooden spoons is hardly a great cv for the club IMO. eichner has knocked back the job

Leal was a great coach and imo 3 grand finals is a success, sure we didn’t win any but we got out played on the days (need to be in it to win it). To give him one year after 3 grands was a big mistake.



Eichner would be a great coach, has a great relationship with the players and would know people in and around the sanfl that would want to play country footy like scot Leal did. but do they want a coach with some experience?

I dont think Eichner wants the job, not next year anyway..

Those three to six guys out every week sounds like us down at the den.

Why didnt you finish 3rd then lace out. I'll tell you why, a minibus for a coach, your recruiting was done in the apfl( no offence to the guys out there) but broad and vandenberg would have to go down as a couple of the worst recruits to ever enter our comp, all the infighting. Your club has gone backwards in Herzicks 4 year reign and will get worse before it gets better imo. There is no way you can expect anyone to come into that club and turn it around in one year.

Lots of moves coming at committee level at South. They need a strong leader to take them forward, along with a charismatic coach who can galvanise the senior playing group.
