I think its too early to say if Nielsen is doing a good job. In the mid eighties when we lost some legends of the game Australian cricket had some rough years. In the last year or two we have lost some legends yet we only lost to South Africa, a team at the top of thier game, by a small margin. Lets wait and see how the Aussie side rebuilds and goes in the next year or two before hanging the coach. Richmond gave Wallace five years surely Nielsen should get atleast three or four or five or six.

This thread is pure speculation from people who have no idea what goes on in the inner sanctum of the Australian cricket team (and that includes you welly - "rumour I hear within the group", give me a break!). At the end of the day, a coach's worth is measured purely by results. Interesting to note that this thread went pretty quiet while the Aussies were winning the Test series in South Africa, then welly saw fit to fire it up again when they lost the ODI series. It's almost as if Nielsen wouldn't talk to him in a bar one night or something!
