That was a good win against an inform team on their own deck.
But we can play better than that. And Sturt definitely can too.

The season is far from over.

i dont think any glenelg supporter is getting carried away, what with our record in GF's how could we?

Yep I agree mst - still if he wants to look like a front running tool let him. I can't recall ever seeing that sort of thing from any Centrals supporter and after a decade of dominance they perhaps have the only right to be that obnoxious. I must have missed the decade of dominance from Glenelg?

its starting to feel like a decade of dominance against sturt :D and your mob for that matter ;)

just kidding, just had to go with that one....sorry

Just to change tack from some of the childish banter ... ;)

It was great to see Peter Motley toss the coin yesterday ... nice move to dump the Bays guernsey so quickly after paying his pennance.

Seeing him walk off the ground highlighted the absolute travesty of justice that Peter has endured for so many years. A lesser man would not have survived his horrific injuries, but I felt quite moved to see him limp off the ground.

Peter, you're are an absolute champion and I wish you all the best for the future.

Still doesn't change the fact J. McConnell is a lazy, one dimensional footballer and I for one would be happier facing Glenelg in the finals with him in the team.

I do not dispute the perception that Justin is lazy... but I think "one dimensional" is incorrect. His work across halfback in the second half was very good. His ball use and creativity was a major factor as they repelled any of Sturts forward thrusts. I believe his goals come from strong grabs on the lead, clever reading of the fall of the ball in packs and sharp snaps. I am not sure you have sen him enough if you think he is purely a one trick pony.

I'd say 3 goals (and the scores leveler) v the Dogs and 6 V North is a fair return in recent weeks for a mid sized forward. His weeks of 25- 30+ disposals and regular contributions on the scoreboard in the reserves makes his inclusion with players such as Grima, Holmes,Hinge, Logan and Salopek out an absolute no brainer.

Good for you dedja. Thanks to some friends, I've been fortunate enough to attend a few of the Presidents' Lunches at Unley over the last couple of years. It's a given that Peter will take the podium and tell a joke or 2, it's always funny and his delivery is spot on, but I can never stop thinking how sad it all is and what a strong, outstanding character he is.
