I reckon that's three strikes to your credability Dick. Portlock deserves to win. This should be his year (although I have thought that before  )

I'll have a crack at the some odds:

Portlock $3
Maxfield $4.50
Hill / Hodge / Ewer $5.50
Moore / Haskett / M Ellis $9
L Ellis / Cheetham / Joraslafsky $12

Have I missed anyone?

Portlock was at his silky best again on the weekend. 3 votes?
Thoroughly deserves to win one.
Will Creek neglect to tag him next time they meet, they seemed to pay a hefty price for letting him run them ragged on saturday?

Zac Ewer won the maggies B&F today by the length of the straight. Polled in every game bar 1 which is an outstanding effort. Yeomans 2nd, Wilson 3rd with S.Jones, Trav Griffen, Fry and Cuthbert all doing well. I polled stuff all (as expected), but acted as the "legal" bookie on the day and cleaned up (thanks for the easy money boys). Head to Head betting on B&F counts is a great way to raise money.. Have taken plenty of $$ for Hill to win the mail medal!!!! One punter was also very keen on the Ewer B&F / Maxfield mail medal double!!!

Myponga have told Ben Princi he is not required as coach for 2010.

Troy Jacques would be a chance to replace him. ( just a wild guess)
Maybe those who went to Jervois might be in the picture too.( guess as well)

Mail Medal
My top players
Joraslafsky and Hodge from Victor
Hutchy from Pongy
Broughton from McLaren
Maxfield from Compass
Hill and Moore from Langhornes
Haskett and Potlock from Willunga
Ewer from Goolwa

Winners will be Ewer and Joraslafsky tied for first from Hill and Broughton

Alas poor Mitch Portlock will be 5th but only 4votes from winning

I dont think Portlock can win because the tallest wingman in the league Brad Haskett has had a very good year too.

Bit harsh on princi but thats football. From what I've seen of him he would make a good development coach.
Names like Melissa Johnson (Wimbledon), Blink 182 (Music Clip), Bruce McCauley (Cricket) and Helen D'Amico (Footy) these are the Real Hero's.

Spot on D&W, Portlock ran rampant on Saturday.

The first quarter was where it was won, you can't give Willunga a 5 goal head start (which stretched to 8 goals in the second) and expect to win.

The one positive to come out of the game is that the LC players & coaches got a good look at Willunga in full flight on the weekend and now know exactly what they need to do over the next few weeks. A big reality check in the final round will not necessarily be a bad thing.

I still think LC has the cattle to beat Willunga. Coach Simmo just needs to get over the magnet board and re-think some strategies, and the players themselves need to reset and regain some hunger coming into the serious stuff.

Still very optimistic and looking forward to finals footy! :D

Great day at Artic Park yesterday for the annual Mudlarks Crap 4 cash day. Big Timmy Heath took home the $1500 but the big winner of the day was the $2.50 Pints & $4 spirits :drinkers: . Tilt took out the A grade BnF & Barry Clarke won the B's. The other highlight was no doubt, although coming 2nd to my ranga brother, myself kicking a checkside from the car park in the goal kicking comp after many beverages, much to Tilts delight as he won a few $$$ on it.

On a more credible note i hear Sarge & Wal Hutchy called it a day in A grade football. Both are terriffic blokes & have achieved so much in there country football careers. Sarges last kick in A grade footy was a drop kick goal from 35m out, which as the years go by will turn into 60 -70m. Well done boys :prayer: =D>

I was told yesterday that the bays will have a new president next year & that they are speaking to Damien(dogga)Garrett re coaching next year. Would be a great asset with the contacts he has.

Yes Goodluck LF O:)

Our JC's having just played LF's team on the weekend,
I sat there and said to the boys next to me,
I think we're looking at the premiership side here!
Seemed to be a team of good and fair players.
I was impressed with number 9.

What was the closest margin throughout the year LF??

Just looking at the finals action for the weekend.

Compass V Creeks Qualifying Final.
Creeks won comfortably in their most recent encounter, will Creeks be able to brush past the Dogs again.
Were there any excuses for the Compass side?

Strath V Victor Elimination Final
Victor seemed to have gone backwards, can they turn their form around?
In contrast, Strath seem to be on the improve at the right time.

Victor has had a few key players out the last few weeks (like all clubs do i'm sure), if they can't get some quality back this week then presumably they will be battling against the odds.

Thanks guys. Number 9 is Satish Lawson, he would be our big hope for the mail medal. Closest margin for the year was 13 points against Yank at Yank, but the average was about 38 points. Anything can happen from here on in though, just imagine if we get weather like we have today??
