Brant Chambers v Glenelg

Postby Dirko » Fri Jun 19, 2009 11:25 pm

Hi Spelly,

The past two games v the Bays, Chambo has been held goalless.

Has this ever happened with him before ?

And his direct opponent Millsy kicked one, so has he ever been outscored by the fullback before ?

Cheers!!

From memory didn't Chambo have a lean trot against Rudolph before that?

Also IIRC (and this could well be wrong), I don't think Chambers has had too many big outings against Norwood in say the last 3 years (despite the fact the Blues have generally thumped us)

Chambo kicked 1 in the finals last year v Sammy, but during the year IIRC he still got a bag of 6.

I should get them, but I currently don't have game by game in 2001, 2002, 2005 and 2008 for Chambers. The 2008 Season info got lost in my computer crash.

Round 8 2003 vs Norwood
Round 13 2003 vs Port
Round 13 2004 vs Norwood
Preliminary 2004 vs Eagles
Round 4 2007 vs Norwood
Round 1 2009 vs Glenelg
Round 12 2009 vs Glenelg

I couldn't say for sure if it's the first time to your question, and I couldn't say if his opponent kicked anything or not.

Must be me but I can't remember the last time he kicked more than 1 against the Bays.

I think he surpassed himself tonight with Millsy showing him how to snag one ... ;)

Unfortunately from my point of view, this has changed in the past couple of years (Chambers now holds the most points kicked by an individual vs Eagles 11.5 (71), but as seen in this thread, it is not the first time he has been held goalless in consecutive matches vs another team.

Thanks Ecky. I saw Di at the club Saturday night and she went through and checked his record out.

Apparently, apart from the Glenelg games, the last time he went goalless was to Norwood in 2007 round 4 or about....
