Must be that time of the year for the Snouts to start writing out their cards in readiness for mailing to Elizabeth???

Well done to the Bays, again the center clearances after half time killed us. If you guys don't get a flag this year then it's a "F" for "FAIL". By far the best team in the comp this year. Our delivery into our fwd 50 was again a disgrace apart from a few occasions, so the bagging of Chambers by anyone is with "tool in hand". What was it 23 scoring shots to 11?? Tells the story. It was only 8 or so weeks ago that Sturt supporters were being told that "Flags aren't won in June" after thumping the Doggies. Well maybe the same deal applies here. Enjoy it gentlemen, congratulations on a fine win and I and many others will look forward to meeting the Tigers in the finals. ;)

I was guessing a solid 6000. Well done to the crowd, no problems from what I saw.

Cutterman, a thumping and a draw against the Dogs, if that makes us the best team then I barrack for Sturt.... :D ;)

Well done to Chris Hall on his 100 SANFL games. Well done to Sammy Rudolph & Jus Lally on returns via the B grade.
The Bays won all three grades v the Blooze too this weekend 8)

For the record how did Sammy go? Are we looking at a similar situation like last year when Kirk came back late in year? IMO I think Glenelg have more depth this year and the only way Sammy could get back is if there are injuries.

Did OK for his first game back. Nothing outstanding, but was nice to see him there. Gus Lally's return was excellent, which is good for depth 8)

I hope not. Well played from glenelg today, smashed us in the second half where it counted most, stoppages. the ball movement was awesome from the bays in the second hald. Mickan is a fantastic coach, he will get picked up by an afl coach in the next couple of years. One thing i do hope though is that you guys do get a grand final win because your team is in that period of being up there.

disappointing to lose this game and its alarm bells certainly with the type of game we play or allow the bays to play against us. something needs to be done normo...

wins vs anyone other than the bays and dogs mean nothing and this season will be a waste if we cant beat these two teams come finals.

Will be interesting to see how Glenelg fit Fisher, Grima and Holmes into that side plus of course Salopek, Logan, Douglas and Seller. Its been suggested by most footy commentators that Douglas will make way for Dangerfield and Seller for Griffin.
Listening to Mickan he was pretty firm on any AFL player that wanted a game in the side had to be committed to playing finals. I cant see 5/6/7 changes to the current line up... only the places of Ruwoldt, Mcconnell and Plant would be in doubt. The have some wonderful selection issues at the Bay right now.

Milbo Don't think we'll get the full compliment of AFL listed Bays players for the finals. IMO Sellar and Logan most likely, Douglas a possibility.

As you say a nice headache to have fitting 6-7 quality players into our finals team

I'm pretty confident Salopek wants a game. It's only if Doc B and Micky H decide they want his shoulder done ASAP to make him more attractive on the trade table that Glenelg wont see him in Black and Gold for the finals.

I 100% agree with you that he wants a game. All our AFL listed players want to play finals for us if given the opportunity, it is whether there masters allow them to is another matter.

Salopek will no doubt be put into surgery for next year, or taken out of SANFL ranks to enable him to avoid injury so as to maximise trade value

IMO the best part of todays win was that two blokes who came in to replace AFL call ups were 1st and 3rd best at the club, Block and Ruwuldt. As others have metioned our depth this year is much greater than last year.

and that's why it doesn't matter about the AFL listed players ... the best 21 players will be selected at league level, with or without them.
