Who are Nelson & Oconner? Can you give a background on who we are talking about?

Exactly what I was thinking reading this. Who are they??
I wouldn't have thought we would be chasing or even talking about coaches for next year. Far out, this season is only just started hotting up!

Dont know much about oconner. He coached Barossa Districts in 06,07 to two Premierships. I beleive from somewhere near the bottom in previous years. Rian Nelson was his runner / assistant coach for those two years then took over once Oconner left. Rian took them to another grand final apperiance the following year but lost to Tanunda. This year Rian had a young side. 7 Players under 20 and another 4 under 25. What he did with them was great. Was preparing them for the years to come and another onslaught on the finals but then all came unstuck thanks to the powers that be in the club, they decided to sign up Roger James. Rian was told he had the job for next year with a hand shake. Then three weeks later he was informed that he was not required for next season. S H I T on i call it. Not happy. Very good coach, spent some time helping him out this season and learnt alot. He would be great in the APFL if he was lucky enough to score a position. Not saying that he is interested but i would say he would be looking

Agree with your quote, Neds the barometer of Two Wells, and will be back for the finals. Having another crack with the Doggies next year.

IMHO the winner of next weeks Hummocks vs United match will take the 4th spot despite what happens this week - my tip is Hummocks also.

The fact that the rep had never seen Ned or the 10's of other lads play in this comp in home and away matches, is an indictment on the Eagles as an organisation. If the Eagles rep has been to any matches I would love to hear about it. The fact that the Eagles only ever showed any interest at all when Centrals asked to clear him also does not show them in a good light.

IMHO the Eagles don't deserve any of our lads, at least Centrals are somewhat proactive and only 15 minutes away doesn't hurt either.

I guess we can only speak based on our own experiences Jumbo, great to see Ned get a crack at it anyway regardless of which club he's at. Only time will tell if the Eagles rep got it wrong, lets hope for Ned's sake he did. The test of Neds committment will come when he has to make a call finals time I guess, as Centrals 2's are 3rd and play their qualifying and semi finals on the Sunday of the APFL prelim and GF weekend respectively.

No doubting Ned is a good player. I'm guessing by what Footy Warrior says though that Neddy has failed the Donkey's commitment test now that finals are here.

Failed a non-existent "test"- I don't think so - Ned's committment to his football can't be questioned by Donkey or anyone else - going to Centrals so late in the year was only ever going to end as it has. Ned's committment to Two Wells is far stronger this year since he has been working hard for the Roosters since January.

Wouldbe been difficult to loose those two GF given the talent in that side over these years

Never questioned it Jumbo, I praised Ned for having a crack and if it doesnt work out then committment isnt really an issue like your saying

Rumour has it that the Hamley Coach had the pleasure of some 1 on 1 time with the great Kevin Sheedy.
I believe that he may take some of Sheedy's tactics into the game tomorrow against Balaklava.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?
