Not a big oval and it is lightning quick has helped contribute to the amount of 4's.

Some incredibly boring cricket right here....

Pitch is an absolute road... scores of 400+ easy... plays into Aussies hands a bit only needing a draw

North is on to bowl and it looks like it is turning a bit already, surprising we didn't pick Hauritz having seen his first few balls.

Good catch by Hussey to remove Collingwood. Well bowled Siddle.

Now lets see what this Trott is made of! Big Game. Massive innings required for his new home country.
Siddle charging in. Bowling well! Well deserved wicket Siddle.

geez Haddin had a fair bit to say to Trott after he faced his first ball :D :D :D . Great to watch the pressure the Aussies will put on him.

North is getting some real purchase here.

I did find it amusing that Nasser Hussain handed Jonathon Trott his England test match cap.

Very good captaining by Ponting to have Marcus North bowling at first gamer Trott
Marcus North with a bowling average of 85 + was the obvious choice to ruffle the debutant Trott early in his innings

EG 3/180
55 STRAUSS another composed innings
10 COOK another failure v AU
24 COLLINGWOOD good player of spin, but ordinary when he faces a 4 prong pace attack
72* BELL his first 25 runs were the luckiest first 25 he might have played or ever played
3* TROTT survived a torrid time against Marcus North ...

EG in the box seat
AU need to bat well and long in thier first innings as this pitch is gunna disintigrate

HADDIN
Wheres all the critics ???
Since the broken finger HE HAS PULLED THE FINGER OUT
4TH TEST
102...5 byes
263...5 byes
5TH TEST
180/3...0 byes

545 runs
10 byes
and I cant recall a dropped catch ???

That is what this game will come down to i agree Mal. This pitch will turn miles in a days time, it is astounding Hauritz isn't playing i think the Aussies made a big mistake not picking him in this game. As flat as the track is, the surface is breaking up already and giving some real encouragement to the spinners.

Swann will have a big say in the outcome of this game i think.
