I went in a 20 cent raffle at Camden Park Indoor Cricket Centre in 1985. Bought one ticket.

Won a signed Gray Nicholls bat with the signatures of the 1984/85 Australian test team on the front (Rackemann! Holland!), the first ever touring team from Sri Lanka, and best of all, the great West Indian line up of the era on the back. Richards, Lloyd, Gomes (I loved Larry Gomes), Garner, Marshall, Holding etc etc.

I've got it mounted in a display case still and it's definitely the coolest thing I've ever won.

Nearly won a grand on the AFL Dream Team site last week but came second... :?

I won a massive meat tray at the pub. Meat is good.

Other than that, just movie tickets, show tickets, stuff like that

The missus won a $10k shopping spree at John Martins in the mid-90's. It came in very handy at the time, as we had just moved out together.
They gave her a credit card, with $10k on it - she had 6 months to spend it.

only thing I've ever won was a 5th division (or thereabouts prize) in X-lotto many years ago. They used to send cheques out in the post. Put my cheque for $11.20 in the top pocket to bank during the day but promptly forgot about it. Placed shirt in wash that night, with the cheque "disintegrating" in the wash. Cured me of X-lotto forever

2 Big Day out tickets for the year that Chemical Brothers, Freestylers and Carl Cox were the last three acts in the boiler room. Won them at my regular pub the Elizabeth Downs in some kind of beer raffle promotion.

Took the hot chick who worked behind the bar at the time.

A whopping 28 years ago at the tender age of 7, I won a scale replica Southern Cross remote control plane in a raffle at a Parafield Airport open day. It was valued at $1,500 at the time. It was loaned to a company associated with the creation of the Southern Cross full sized replica to assist with promotion. It disappeared and all efforts to recover it were unfruitful. Still have the newspaper clipping somewhere!

The only things I have won apart from meat trays and lower division lotto was:
In the early 80's, a cassette of 60's rock and roll from a Paddle Pop stick - just what a young fella really wants
A Tooheys Extra Dry bike/scooter thingy - Flogged off on ebay for $150

The iPod touch 8GB I won [and sold] was about the only thing I ever won.
My wife on the other hand once went to a fete and bought a ticket in each of 5 raffles and won all 5!
She gave them three prizes back to re-raffle.

At the toss of a coin and big star record vouchers courtesy of a 5RPH SANFL quiz and the FootySA tipping comp a few years back.
Also won a digital camera worth $150 out of a stacker machine in grand central on my 19th birthday.

My younger brother on the other hand has managed to win the major prize on those stacker machines on 3 separate occasions, he has probably put about $100 in them all up but has come out with a Nintendo Wii, a Nintendo DS and a Sony PSP, not a bad strike rate.

Mate at work has won a car (Holden Barina) in one of those Shopping Mall lotteries...

The best thing I would have won was a 'raffle' to be 'Central's Mascot for the Day' back in the early 90's. Got to run out with the Doggies players against Port @ Alberton in the early 90's with Grant Coffee and Tony Lynn leading me out onto the ground.

I tried to win a Nintendo 64 back in the day.

Was a colouring in competition in the Sunday Mail.

I did an awesome job and lied about my age, so I thought I was a cert.

About two weeks later I found it in the mail box because I had addressed it to myself on accident. Served me right.
