Bubble has well and truly burst at Victor.
Hard to see them playing a part in finals action. They nearly lost to McLaren's, that's not the form you want going into the finals. No disrespect to McLaren's.

Not sure the bubble has burst idiot!
We are playing in a elimination final and hope to have a few key players back and fit ready to go, last year Victor didnt make the finals and have not for many years so I would say Ellis and co have done a good job. It's not ideal how things have gone heading into finals but I am sure every club in the finals has had things not go how you would like (look at the Strath - Willunga incident) we are playing to win and go as far as possible in 09.

Cheetah has been a revelation since he has been playing in the backlines in the latter part of the year and Maxy has played a majority of time in the middle for the club and has continuously racked up high possession games. Milburn had a fantastic start to the season polling well in the clubs best each week and Burdett has be a very good contributor for the whole year and can be a vote magnet. So there might be some juggling of a few votes over the 18 rounds. Good luck to all players…
Good to hear Cheetah get an invite, talking to him over the past few weeks he seems to be loving life down back. Must've been a decent to attract votes playing from the back half.

with wot u said about 4 weeks ago teamwork,u guys wont get any further than the elimination final mate so id probably agree to an extent that the bubble has burst at victor especially after the start to the season yas had,and u can say injuries or wot eva but fact is that good sides have depth and good sides cover there losses no probs at all.

Victor have genuine matchwinners in their side. The Ellis boys, Hodge, Sammy J and Kym White will be very hard to stop come Finals time. I think where Victor were very good was their second tier guys were playing really good footy. I reckon as the grounds dry up, the excitement of finals for the first time in a long time for the Roos will see these guys step up. Theres no doubt they will need to and assuming Strath run into Victor in the Elimination Final they will need to be on their toes, underestimate any of the top 5 at your peril.

LANGHORNE CREEK 16 21 117 .d. MCLAREN 13 9 87

Langhornes only beat McLaren by 5 goals last weekend. Does this mean we can write them off as well?

Hamsys been invited i believe. Chatting with him last night he said hes going down there!

He was invited last year but had prior commitments so the helmet wearing Barry Pilmore got up and accepted the award, thanked the midfielders more than Dave would've!

You need to kick 18 - 23 goals in a match to qualify for any votes

The scoring shots says it all there (36 -22)
McLaren's have shown a marked imprivement towards the latter stages of the season and will be looking to continue that into next year.

Hey BJ at least you have a fine focal point to direct your passes to and he gets results for all your hard work!!!! You are both only 2 of a great team, but you all know that, that's why Willunga will still be dangerous in the finals whoever they play. (Love your work BJ)

Hudson your right Hamsy is a fantastic focal point. I agree its amazing he didnt get an invite for the medal count but there couldve been 6-7 guys get an invite this year from our club. Probably the reason the winner wont come from Willunga.

Hill, Moore, Ewer, Maxfield and Hodge will be the top 5! Not necessarily in that order but will be a great count!

D&W the game will be a great contest. The midfield battle will be enthralling. Steele v Feast in the ruck will have a huge bearing on the match. The clearances will be paramount to win as both sides have good targets and goalkickers. As the times said Hill, Moore, Potts will be a handful for us but with Woolford, Carnevale and Baxter all in good touch i hope we are able to get on top in there and get the ball forward to Thomas, Hams and Mcgowan.

Very keen to get out there, the work day is going to drag!

I am I correct in the saying that Feast can not play the first week of finals? This puts an a massive emphasis on this week. Finishing top for the Creeks will see Feast available for all finals. He is the key in my opinion provides great service for Moore and Hill. I could be wrong?????

Has this improvement come from Hill's coaching? how has he settled in at McLaren? I know he was excited to join a young club

HIlly has fitted in perfectly, to have a coach so pumped up about juniors is great , especially this year with 5 last year 17's comming up and playing every single game in the A grade. Some real promise comming through and great guidance by Steve. Should be a couple of great years ahead for mclaren
