I dont think Meady is the man for the job, personally i would like to see the coach be someone like Stephen Williams, Scott Hodges, Tony Bamford or Bryan Bienke.
I think whoever does it needs to clean out some of the players. Perkins, Barham, Young, Bowes and possibly Clayton. The first 4 are keeping some of the good kids coming through, out of the league side.

I agree with you about Meady, not sure about his current day tactical nouse.
But I draw the line at the players named. With the side packed with kids, we need some experienced heads.
Perkins is maligned too much. Sure he burns some ball, but that's because he gets so much of it.
Barham has footy talent, he just needs to find some consistancy in a settled lineup.
In my opinion Young has been the standout "recruit". His hardness at the contest is pure Port Adelaide.
And if you want J Clayton playing against us...?

Are you serious????
Port should get rid of the best player in our comp????
He might be undisciplined, but I'm sure 8 other teams would have him in a heartbeat.

The culture at the club is nowhere near what it used to be or where it should be, and you need to ask what is causing this.
When the club was at its best, if an individual came out of line, he was very quickly pulled back into line in no uncertain terms by other players. This doesnt happen at the moment.
If you give an honest assessment of the players i mentioned, you should agree. I agree with having some experienced heads, but Perkins and Barham show no leadership on the ground at all.

Tony Brown has been getting such a fantastic result out of the U18s, perhaps he might be worth considering for interview. He's coached most of the League side anyway.

In the past you only needed to play for the Magpies to be a chance of getting a job at Alberton. So for all us Maggie knockers I hope that Greg keeps the job in house, because it seems that the cupboard is becoming bare. I'll throw some names up. Bomber Clifford has turned Kilburn around in a short time, Greg Phillips is due to return from Virginia, Jack must be a chance with the Magnificent 7 still pulling the strings, maybe Roger & George as Co-Coaches, Trigger, Choco, Stephen or Jenny Williams, Scotty, the list goes on. Let me know if I have left anyone out.
Come on Port dont let us down. You were right about Matty Knights, hasnt he kicked on.
