BIG NEWS FOR BAYS FANS...

Don't be suprised to see a pony tail clad defender running around during the ressies in a Black and Gold jumper this Sunday...

Massive IN for the Tigers this close to the finals and will no doubt be back in the Glenelg league side before the finals start...

Just a whisper I have heard, I guess we will have to wait until 11.15am at Unley on Sunday to confirm this as truth or not...

If it does eventuate, it would be an ominous sign for the opposition, but I wonder how the player who will have to make way would feel ???

I thought the possibility to add to your list closed around July or something, if so, therefore he's been on their list all year and have paid him? I've no idea how all this works, anyone help out.

He was more than likely never cut from their list, maybe he was just absent and getting paid zero dollars.

Correct. He was never taken off the list despite being out for 3/4 of the season. Can't get paid for doing no work, and he'll play reserves so will get the standard reserves payment....

Welcome back Sammy....

Just a question for Bays fans and posters in general...

Does this not pose a potential problem for other backline players that slogged their guts out in the pre-season and have continued to do so during the minor round, only to see a player who opted to take the year off return at the business end of the season?

Just a question of course... ;)

Don't think so. Sammy stated he would always come back when he returned from O/S. What's to say he'll make the A's anyway ? This time of year there's a few injuries so he may just slot it...with Hingey & Grima down he may play forward ;)

Why???

He wouldn't be commanding much money this late in the season if he came back you need to take into account the freeing up of money re injuries. For example the likes of Hinge and Grima "may be" on contracts that pay them only on games played with a reduced injury payment which is pretty standard across most clubs. So given those two are are out medium to long term re thier injuires their would be plenty left in the tank at the Bays re Salary Cap.

When any player is signed outside pre season isn't it a mandatory SAFooty'ism' that the salary cap call comes out.

If you actually read down the page a couple of posts, i did actually respond to someones question on how they could sign a player now.

Glenelg would obviously know better than I do but I would have took that to mean he will be back for pre season 2010, not when Finals are around the corner....
