Just joined the comp. we joined it 10 years ago i think. Surely we are part of the comp by now with 3 out of the last 10 premierships??

We will have to spend some time in a lower section to not be classed as a johnny come lately ;) .

Please, please, please let us play at Westminster on turf! I haven't played on turf in years.

Before any of you knobs jump in... by no means do I think I'll do well, simply will be an awesome change of scenery just for one game.

No need to label us all with that title Roseboy. I am sure most people wouldn't mind playing a game there every now and again just to remember what playing on turf is like and as you said a change of scenery.

Yeah it will be a bit of a novelty to start with, I agree with Bloods who mentioned it before, that it will be hard for Westies to chop and change every second week. Rosey, your matting along with Coros are probably the closest thing to turf we have, so you guys might find the transition a bit easier.

Don't worry Bloods, it was just a jovial sarcastic poke at no-one in particular.

And yeah Coverking, I was president for the last 4.5 years with AF taking over. Only standing down because my business is taking up a lot more time these days (boring reason I know - no gossip to be had). I'm still on the committee as BBQ Emperor, the title being the last thing I enacted whilst president.

Bazza - let's hope it's like our matting. Best in the competition! Totally unbiased point of view (Bloods - that was also just a bit of fun... sorry, couldn't resist).

Boring but fair reason. As AF said before, he was the only nomination and thats definitely been the case for our club for a while. Bloods was the only nomination this year and in his first year, and from what i gather Skinny was the only nomination in his 14 years of president of our club.

The BBQ Emperor, nice name! So u will be willing to get behind the BBQ when we play u this year and feed us all at the Tea break? ~o)

And i agree, your pitch is definitely the best in the comp :?

That's bloody impressive - 14 years is huge. Bubbles, our previous secretary and current ASCA treasurer, was secretary for us for something like 30+ years. Just insane what some guys do for a club. Much respect to them all.

Definitely agree. I dont understand how they do it! Our secretary at the moment has done it for 2/3 years, but before that his brother had done it for 30 plus years aswell.
He had to give it up because he had 'a million and one things to do' (thats a wyc joke with the previous secretary there).

Skinny only gave up being the president of the cricket club because he is now the president of WYC as a whole (including the judo, tennis, soccer, kindygym and everything else we have there). our constitution doesnt allow the president of the WYC to be a president of an affiliate club. However, he still does a lot of work for our club. EG: he is delivering phone books for us as we speak
