Mannum 11 goals in the 3rd quarter, and none in the last, their fitness has to be a huge concern approaching the finals.

Noticed a "P Kempe" kicking a goal for Mypo's B grade, surely thats not Peter Kempe, he'd be about 50 now  . I presume its his son.

Was Peter Kempe, Mypo were pretty short in the B Grade had a few old blokes playing, I imagine he would have loved the opportunity to play with his two sons.

The first half of footy by imps was some of the best I have ever seen. They were so clean and skilfull. They kicked 12 goals to 1 in the 2nd quarter. It was great to beat the old enemy so convincingly.

noone saying much on here lately. with tailem losing to meinigie on the weekend could be that they dont even make the finals this year. if meinigie can beat mannum this weekend and tailem lose to jervois the following week then meinigie would be looking at 5th spot. or it could come down to important percentage points there is only 0.27% seperating the 2.
go the bears.

What an absolute ball tearer this week is shaping up to be, Mannum Vs Imps at Mannum. The crowd should be huge and you would not be able to find a better way to spend a measly 6 bucks to get in the gate. Should be country football at its best. That spring finals feeling is in the air, just wish it would rain a bit during the week.

Will be a great game this week, Mannum are the only team that really has the talent to stretch Imps. Unforunately for Mannum that doesn't guarantee them a GF spot, because they are so inconsistant, but at full strength they really do have a v/good list

Waterhouse - Sayers
Hockey - Honner
Hentschke - Waite
Quinn - Girdam
Warnest - Harrowfield
Maloney- Kenny
Harte - Kenny
Sarno - Eyres
Boughen - Puckeridge
Wakefield - Edwards

These guys probably wont play on each other much, but if Mannum can get enough ball through the guts, Imps would have to pull Sayers out of their forward line to stand Clive & that would be a huge win for them.

I know this will sound like a funny statement with the Blues winning most games easily, but I still think their defence is a bit brittle & short for Mannums tall forwards.

All that said their midfield is better, & their last 6 are better aswell. Imps 4 me

You missed out Honner, who has been playing CHB

With Honner, Eyre, Quast, Seyers, Harrowfield & Waite to choose from (& HInes & Lienert in the B's) they should have enough cover.

I would think that the Mannum v Imps game would be a preview to the grand final. Although Mannum are inconsistent, i can't see any other club making the grand final, especially given the inconsistency of Jervois, and in particular Ramblers.

Interesting to see that O'Malley from Sturt may be a chance to play for the Roos in the finals. He would be a big boost. Imps would nearly unbackable favourite, but an injury to a few of their key players could see them beatable in the GF especially if its wet.

Was having a look at the RMFL site, it mentions Mail Medal night on 7th September. They also mentioned there will be a list of each club's 5 best players ever as well as 3 best since 2000.

Will be interesting to see some of the names mentioned. Here's a few names i can think of:

Best ever:

RAMBLERS
Bradley Paech
Bohdan Cybulka
David Ridgeway

IMPERIALS
Greg Zadow
Brett Lienert
Robert Cichowski

MANNUM
Dean Mobbs
Brenton Sickerdick
Lee Adams

JERVOIS
Neil Nankivell
Geoff Lokan
Bill Lokan
Ian Phillips
Trevor Rigney

TAILEM
Bohdan Cybulka
Mervyn Kartinyeri
Terry Connolly

MENINGIE
Wayne Sanders
David McKechnie
Tim Richards
Jamie Gibbs

MYPO
Andy Moo
James Zadow
David Dickinson

No guarantees in footy even for the mighty Imps, unless you believe the press from big Pete Dalwood in which case they are set for an easy win and have only 3 more games to play this year, possibly all against the Roos. They only need drop one for things to become fairly interesting. Anything can happen this time of year and I bet the coaching staff from Adelaide Road have been hiding the MV Standard every Tuesday in case players start believing their own press. Doesnt seem to have happened yet but there's still time.

If the right Mannum team rocks up to play then anyone could win.

Mannum at home in the GF would be a tough assignment.

I would've thought Zac Ewer would've been included for Jervois considering he's won 4 premierships and a Mail medal.

James Pedler would have to be up there for Mypo

On another issue, GWW u nrmally talk alot of sense, but to have Tim Richards in this company is just an insult to all the other player mentioned. Would imagine Kym White or Darren Mansell would be streets ahead of him for Meningie
