i think someone miss read what i said...not a tear away quick...just young tear away... and his action isnt quit text book but it had plenty of opposition batsmen packing it especially his fielding and batting too he has plenty of talent and he is raring to go but hey say what you please about him just wouldnt like to get out to him ... on a brighter note did any one know that nummy is a posty ahahah

Have no idea, MT.. haven't heard of any new signings, and perhaps a couple of departures.. I might get a game yet!

on a different note, I see young guns Pistilli and Natale playing footy for McLaren A Grade - what's the gop there? They get sacked from South?

Norlunga are not coming this year and i dont think they will be in the GSCA for a while if ever.

BRING ON SEASON 2009\10 goodluck to all.

what can we expect from pt elliot this year? ive hardly played against them personally, how will they go in a grade? what are there strengths/weaknesses?

port elliot will be a suprise next year they have heaps of talent flowing through the club with Gav smith knocking up over 900 last year , theres tim clarke who is also a recognised batsmen and with young tear away hamish robertson the club is bound to improve on last years efforts in bs

hahahaha!!! come to think of it i actually did see this bloke bowl last year in one game, "tear away quick" is laughable! i think i bowl faster! he has got to be one of the worst bowling actions in cricket... and if he is taking the new ball for pt elliot i think it will be a long season for the bloods!

pity this is coming from the most "dynamic" cricketer in his team....which is (as bodie quotes) "laughable"...thats all you hear about bodie wilson is his dynamic hair and how good he looks in the field well mate ill be watchin those pies being thrown straight at your face with that touch of sauce u like ... its gonna be a long season for mclaren hopefully they can improve on your dismal finals series last year

Wow!... not much respect for a past player at that club. I think someone needs to let Bloods know this forum is mostly "tongue in cheek" commentary from guys who know each other.. settle down a bit turbo.

And it looks like he's attributed a quote from Jimmy Recard as being from one Bodie Wilson... I would suggest that Jimmy Recard is as far from bodie as you would get!!

port elliot might go alright because they do have some reasonable cricketers, but whether they have good enough depth to cover for injuries, unavailability etc we will have to wait and see. Tim Clarke and gav smith will be keys to their batting, while alan ellis will pick up wickets with the ball. Will be interesting to see if rory kappler returns to playing or continues umpiring duties ! :)

Great question, Will the gr8 man Rory continue umpiring or come out of retirement. He is very passionate the old Rory, i do recall at the conclusion of an over 45's game last year, Rory was very frustrated with his team mates and the fact they lost so he kicked the stumps and spat the dummy. In the meantime one of his kicks proceeded to get the great ken Richards in the guts and he dropped like a sack of spuds lol. very funny it was.

As for the comp this year, i am looking forward to Pt Elliott joining the A grade, how they will go no-one knows, however i do think they will hold their team together and be competitive for longer than Rapid Bay were able to.

So come on guys have the clubs announced their captains for this year?

McLaren played Mt Compass if i do recall correctly, and Mt Compass smashed it in i believe after scoring about 380 on the first day on something like that!
