I'm glad to hear that, there was a quick call to your game just after the B's finished playing to see if Lockleys had scraped into the finals, after that call I heard a very different story.

Any team would be bloody lucky to play at Heccies - one of the best surfaces in the league.

How's it held up this year MP?

clg-west croydon game yesterday was a cracker of a match to watch, both sides were totally spent at the end of the game as it was played in a very attacking manner..however there was an incident in the b grade that hasnt been seen since round 1, with a westies player (number 2) punching a clg lad to the ground and then kicking him in the head..the most shocking part was the fact that this took place no more than a few metres from the coaches boxes, which means that this thug has no respect for the opposition or for his own team as there was a large crowd that witnessed the act..not sure whether he was reported or not, but thankfully after the incident a scrap occured in which the thug was left a little dazed and had to come off to the cheers of the clg crowd and players..its these single players out of a team of 50 that bring a club down

Certainly not the first time for this guy! He was red carded in BOTH matches between WC and Heccies this year, the first time for a dog act where he king hit a young player from behind.

Was told after one game that he has previously been suspended and faced civil action for a similar offence.

Definitely no A graders were put into the B grade to get us over the line. It will be close to same team we have this week, and IF we progress, the same we put out the week after when the A grade play. We still have a couple guys to return, so hopefully they'll be fit for the biggest match and first final for B grade since 94.

I have hear a rumour that Heccies B grade full forward has done a shoulder? Can anyone confirm this? Unlucky for him if true, and all the best for recovery. It won't affect the way we prepare as they gave us a touch up last time we were down there so we are preparing for a massive challenge. Heccies are a class unit with good runners. Excitement around the Lodge is high, hopefully we get a big turnout to support us along!!!!

yeah we will pay for the home final. surface has been pretty good. a little bit hard on sat but nothing to complain about. large oval should suit both teams on the w/e. hopefully we get some good weather to come along

The B grade played very good football and used the wind well in the first to kick a few goals and help setup the match from there. Not many goals were kicked to the northern end of the oval yesterday against the breeze.

cool, the only reason i asked is because the A's lose there 1st for the season and the b's had a BIG win against a top 3 side...
sorry..

Not blowing our trumpet as we are no where near top 3 B grade standard yet, but we have played some pretty good footy in the second half of the year. We have gone 7-2 (losses to CLG and Heccies) while beating Trinity and Paralowie in the process. Yesterday was no fluke as we knew if we played to our potential (which hasn't happened this year until the weekend) we would push Trinity. To be honest to be up 11-4 at 3Qtr time was a massive effort against a very good footy side. I have no doubt Trinity will bounce back fairly well from yesterday, and all things equal should play CLG in the GF. Good luck to all in the finals.
