Hats off to Cockshell for being the only person to do any sort of promotion for the Thebby match. Short shorts tucked in, long hair with a headband made it feel as if you were watching a player back at the oval in the glory years.

Good to see some of the fringe players building a strong case for themselves. Symmons has been very good the last few weeks. As has Daniel. Polec and Goldsworthy are also making it very difficult for the selectors.

With Banner, Fitzgerald (I thought he looked very sharp yesterday) and Hill making a push for league selection with their form and Treeby, Powell, Passador and Peter Fiacchi walk up starts to the league team once fully fit there will be some decisions that will need to be made.

I'd swap Fitzgerald for Cheep and Banner for Smith for next game.

I'd keep Cheep the Norwood game proved the side struggled when he was off with asthma etc pre half time.
Fitzgerald yep
Fairclough yep(sorry holden78)
Banner is a maybe he looks good but is an AFL out rider wont get in for the hard ball. But he has a great kick on him.
Passador needs to come back in no matter what the out going coach thinks about him .
Redden should be an in but who would go out not Miles as he is so useful around the ground.
Smith an out yep not ready yet
Rowntree has improved
And watch out for one straight out of baby day care Bately I think is his name .In line to be the next love child.

Nice to have some depth back to push certain players .

Well done to the 'gutsy' Panther supporter on the outer wing terraces at Thebarton who showed more courage and resilience than many of the Panther players. At half time he was chasing down an errant football and went down like a bag of dirt, got up too quickly and went down again. He managed to 'bounce' up quickly, kept smiling and told a story about a worse personal effort at Norwood oval. He wasn't hurt and still had a good day and the Panthers responded with a good third quarter based on this effort.
