lack of players, lack of community support, lack of officials. I have contacts in the EEFL and these are the two clubs they want to fold to make the merger happen. Fold or merge will be directed to them in the next 2 months.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Merge would be more likely IMO. I have heard a Rudall/Ports merger, which would suit EU as well I would imagine, with some Pt Neill based players

we played souths a few weeks ago and we should have won. They are not much. I doubt south will get within 5 goals of the demons

We've been doubting them all year tho, but they will play finals football. Unlike other sides who aren't "pretenders" who will not.

Gotta give them credit, they've sustained their efforts all year. Unlike others...

south the fittest side in the league by far.the demon players r looking 4 the easy way out.plus they r without leaders on and off the field.yes south will play finals.and so will the demons, but southwill play mallees in the gf.the fall of the massively arrogant demons begins tommorrow.i know that joey doesnt want 2 play for him, just like muzza..norespect there

Rudall and Ports although not scoring the points on the field are both having strong years off the field. There was nowhere to park at Rudall after 1.00 pm when they played each other a few weeks ago, the ground was packed.

When Ports and Cowell played last week at Port Neill it was very difficult to find a park as well. Crowds are up at all grounds this year except for Cleve.

I did hear Cleve were due to host Kinlough/Pedler Cups this year but reneged because of lack of volunteers, which seems to be their biggest problem.

So there are 4 healthy clubs and one that needs to get off its butt and do a bit of work, all in all EEFL is very healthy.

That said if those crops in the ground continue to be blasted by hot northerlys, the future of all football clubs in this area will be looking very bleak.

Are you serious? I heard that waybacks were going to rest about 8 of the best players to freshen them up

Port Lincoln football learnt quite a bit this weekend, we learnt Waybacks aren't that flash and struggled against a side that has been named the pretenders all season. And on recent form, it wasn't "just an off week", they had some players missing, but Souths probably did too.

Mallee Park continue on their way as undeniable flag favourites, Too many stars in the mix there and they would need another complete meltdown to fail at capturing this years premiership.

Marble Range running on all heart, without Semmler they have no hope. Have some good players but not enough.

Tasmans, i still rate as the unluckiest side in a long time, Showed yesterday we do have what it takes to win games, Brad Masters played another great game, and hopefully next year we can play to our full potential. I bet Souths are glad we can't make the finals. They know we have their measure.

Bostons, all talk. T07, great side on paper, but like us not going anywhere this year, if you do somehow manage to make finals this year, it'll be a reward for nothing. At least MR have shown heart in their games.

Souths, played their GF yesterday and will cop a hiding this week. Have obviously improved from last year , but won't beat the peckers or Waybacks in the finals.

up in GF we came from 3 goals down at half time to win by about 6 goals, kicked 7 goal to zip in 3rd quater to blow them away and we still have 4 blokes to come back into our side.
Lock smashed cougars to take 4th spot
and yellana just got over the line against eyre united

Lock take on ramblers in the 1st semi at tumby next week
then we take on yellana in the 2nd semi at cummins the week after, it will be an interesting finals campaign with all the teams being close

Being involved at the footy league this year, I've got another perspective on the game in Pt Lincoln.

Not a mention on this site, or from any person I've spoken to in the community about today's Under 11 Carnival for the Wayne Evans Shield, despite the fact that the young fella's from the various clubs are the future of the game in Pt Lincoln.

At Poole Oval today, without any fuss or fanfare, the oval was full of cars, parents and families.

Unlike a normal fixture, there was not clearly designated "Tasman" or "Boston" area's, and everyone mixed.

Mallee Park struggled for numbers, and all credit to the Tasman, and then Wayback lads who filled in for them.

One of the only days of footy this year where there has been no hiccups, and a fantastic day was had by all concerned.

On the results side of things, game 1 saw the upset of the day, with Lincoln South, who hadn't lost all year, lose to Marble Range.

Tasman, courtesy of a big win over Mallee Park, then a tight win over Souths, snuck into the final, where they ultimately lost to Eski's Bostons.

allegations are that lincoln south threw the b grade game on saturday. If so they deserve to get beat in finals. Are the killer bees still second after we flogged them yesterday?
