Poms to Premiers - History of the CDFC

Postby Big Phil » Sat Aug 08, 2009 10:37 am

In line with the 50 year celebration of the Central District Football Club, a new book called Poms to Premiers is being released later in the month.

Written by club historian Robert Laidlaw and former player Robin Mulholland, the book is a must for all Doggies fans and collectors of books relating to the SANFL.

Here is a sneek peak at the back and front cover of the book that will sell for $49.95 with its release coinciding with the family day at the club on Sunday 30th of August.

Check out the link below if you want to pre-order a copy as I think only 1000 were printed so they will sell pretty quickly I would assume.

Wonder if they'll have an audiobook version ;)

Very good...

But in all seriousness, this book is surely a must have for any CDFC supporter. At $49.95, I reckon it sounds like good value...

It'd be good if someone could do a review as soon as they get a copy, Ive read several SANFL publications and there's been a huge range of standards from deplorable to sensational, I love reading the good ones so if this gets a good review or two I'll put in an order if there's any left.
Cheers.

No worries Wedgie, I will see what I can do. I know that as soon as I get my copy I will be reading it from cover to cover so will post a review for you then.

Don't forget they will make great Father's Day present as well if your Dad is a Centrals supporter, I know that is what my old man is getting.

Being written by Robert Laidlaw I'd say you can order it with confidence.
