Queen Vic- couple things, oconnor didnt turn ur club around the combination of the directors giving u 8 imports and ur club being cashed up at the time resulted in ur success. only need to look at where the 2 clubs are now that were allocated half a team in imports. it was a very narrow minded descision by the directors IMO. im sure u will be able to tell us how much time oconnor spent at the club in the preseason. im led to believe rian can take alot of credit for the premierships.
take a look at oconnors track record, only goes wheres theres money and failed miserably without rian at kilburn last year with the talent he had at his disposal.
Welcome to the forum
hope u can keep us in touch with the shambles thats going on down there at doggyland, would be good to see them fight there way back without the special treatment and develop juniors like every other club has to.

Check the facts
Maybe the directors gave 8 and 7 Imports
Check to see how many Barossa actually had in the 2 premiership years
Freeling were the ones who used all their allocation, which by the way was more than Barossa
Cheers

Speaking of facts in 2004 the club was allowed 8 imports for the result of zero wins, in 2003 8 imports for zero wins, there maybe a pattern forming here, funny how the same people are becoming involved again. next year the club maybe return to the four but surely Nelson deserves some respect.

I forget to add to my first post at the start of the season the football director quit, the club didn't have a replacement Nelson performed the role.

they went more than close enough to their import quota so you cant take the moral high ground over freeling. and at the end of the day thats 3 or 4 more imports than any other club was allowed.

if the donnybrooks could get 2 more imports they'd be chance for top 3 as well and now the council is taking over the future of the club they may be able to afford them too.

Queen-Vic, good to see a bulldogs supporter who wears his heart on his sleeve and isn't afraid to speak up against the establishment.. you would have to be surprised with the new direction the club has taken, maybe the brainstrust wanted the dogs to tank the rest of the season to improve their allocation for the james parade float comes to town.

Good sources tell me James has already held meetings/visits with key players for next year...

Queen Vic. maybe you can inform us of any news regarding players prepared to stay or go...
Sharpe, Christie and Commane would be the big three you want to retain, yet you nearly lost at least 2 of those last year...
Has james promised/signed any recruits for next year he will bring with him???

Intersting times ahead

Word is that Christie and Commane are staying, both not happy with the recent events, Sharp to retire, if that is true he deserves the his last game to be honoured, V Willaston, The Stelzers will return and were going to return if Nelson was still at the helm. I think wih the side we can put together we should return to the four, Nobody blames James for this, Nelsons didn't deserve to be sacked

James has promised to bring Pearce from Kersbrook.... He may have won a medal a few years back

I dont remember a Brad Pearce playing for Freeling, unless it was a fair while ago, you might be thinking of Adam Pearce who played for us recently

i notice u didnt refute the fact that nelson should get the credit for those premierships or that oconnor failed in his attempt to lift kilburn out of the doldrums without nelson doing everything for him

Queen Vic. What is the word out of the Kennel why Nelson was shown the door ?

He was a decoarated player both with Willaston & Barossa Districts and only into his second year in the top job. If he was the mastermind behind the two premierships and aire to the thrown what went wrong after 1 and half seasons ?

Not 100% sure, there seem to be some lies that I can't get to the bottom off, Haven't spoke to Sponger but one of the players old me that the board couldn't say no to Roger James when a past player told the club Roger wanted to coach. I have heard that a board member had told Rian three weeks earlier that he was re appointed for 2010. There has been some lies around that Stelzers had a fall out with Rian, there Dad said that no truth to that. There has been other players names talked about as leaving if Nelson stayed, The players i have spoke to have said not true but i haven't spoke to the player told to me as the one..

I have read over the time Pac man you have hung some S#it on Sponger and that the nature of the forum, but without wanting to sound condersending he changed my ex club around,
