They're like the Geelong of Indy Footy  . Go Cats!!!!!!!!!

Don't know how you draw that comparison BC. They would probably have won more premierships than Geelong and certainly wouldnt have gone 44 years between drinks!

That's a fair first up loss for the season! Looks like the usual suspects in Cobbys best and goal kickers. Was it just a hiccup? :?

Strangely, they probably wear more moccasins than the populace of Geelong, the feted home of the moccos.

Yes you are right, i remember hearing about that. I got that info about Lippy never beating Cobby by his teammate. I'll have to remind him of that and tell him he talks shit and has lowered my credibility! :D

Think there was about three or four players from each team involved.

Nothing more than a bit of push and shove and some wrestling but it was the longest fight I have ever seen.

It would have gone for about 10 minutes and would have been resolved if the umpire threw the ball up in the centre circle and let play go ahead.

However, one of the officials had called time off so the central umpire couldn't put the ball back into play, while the fight continued.

Held the game up for what seemed like an eternity.

Then the ball needed to be changed, and there wasn't a backup ball.

Someone threw out a yellow training ball to use. Lol.

I reckon a red training ball was used for the remainder of the match.

But yeah, that elongated fight really sapped the energy out of the game and should have been handled much better.

I'm sure there are plenty on here who would have similar thoughts.

Yep - one of the dumbest things I have ever seen and officiated by none other $hit for brains Reeksy. Your comments are pretty spot on with what happened and what should have happened.

The ball thing was a bit comical but I think the match ball was replaced and swapped over again 5-10 minutes later.
