you little beauty

couldnt get out there today unfortunately, heard the 2nd half on the radio

sounds as though we couldve won by a tad more had we kicked straighter in the 3rd 1/4

also sounds like our performance has improved given we have been a little flat in recent weeks yet still winning.

how did Duldig go back in the league team???

Phew I was worried about this game as North are decent side. Couldn't go due to illness so had to endure the radio
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Got the points yet again, but not a convincing win in the end with Norf kicking the last 3 goals. Was out to a 42 pt margin late in the last quarter. Bays still yet to click, but did enough to put the Rooters away at Jellybean Oval !

From a radio perspective.

Bays too good. More intensity, more direct.

North, too many turnovers from the kick in, and gifted Glenelg 3 goals. Too undisciplined, giving away stupid frees and even more stupid 25 mtr penalties, gifting Glenelg two more goals. Clarke's ridiculous 25 mtr in the pocket was a good example.

What has happened to our skill level, and why do we persist in arsing around with the ball across HB. Losing Ackland and then O'Hara didn't help but the difference in the scoring shots pretty much summed it up.

Clarke, Younie and Stribliing all guilty of getting caught with the ball. In Clarke and Younies case they are either too slow, lack awareness, or weren't interested enough.

West v North is going to be an interesting game, that's for sure.

Another terrible game of football, how North were still in it for most of the game despite their deplorable skills was beyond us.

Good to see the umpires joining in the party and trying to be as bad as North.

Saw 3 of the worst umpiring decisions I've ever seen today and two of them were against Glenelg!

Just glad we didn't play the Bays of last year otherwise we would have lost by 20 goals.

Ackland pulling out* before the game didn't help.

Well done to North for changing their gameplan in the last 5 minutes and playing directly down the guts which resulted in 3 quick goals. It ain't rocket science!

God I hope West get the 5th spot this year.

Good effort today.

North were very willing and tried to run all day ... came out of the blocks better in the 10-15 mins after 1/2 time, but they're a work in progress I feel.

The Bays played good footy all day and cranked it up a gear from the past 2 or 3 weeks ... threatened to run right away in the last.

I thought Salopek, Murphy and Backwell were great all day and Duldig performed well for his first game for over 3 months.

Macca also showed how keen he is to stay in the the league team with 6 goals.

A bye next week then the final run into the finals, starting with the Blues at Unley.

The season is just about to start ...

I was robbed today
I told the Weslo security about it
I told them that I bought bottled water at the food stall
I was charged $3-50

No excuse to sell water for that much
Dont mind if I have to spend $5 for a pie or pasty or $10 for a steak sanga becoz the food might have to be thrown away
In fact the BBQ prices are more than reasonable[about $5 steak sanga and about $2-50 snag]
But to spend $3-50 on water that can still be sold round 1 next year is incomprehensible

I thought that was a great game. Both teams had a good crack for pretty much the whole afternoon. The Roosters weren't as bad as some of you guys make out; they tried hard enough, and there were periods when they were on the front foot. Over the whole four quarters however Glenelg was simply the better team.

Great to see the Bays finally string together 4 solid quarters. Were this not the case then the scores would have been a lot closer, because - again - North also played 4 quarters. Kudos to Duldig for having an immediate effect on his first game back in the seniors, though he quietened as the day wore on. Congrats to McConnell for a 6-goal bag; I'm glad to see him back and firing. Murphy BOG by a country mile, he made his presence felt at every contest all day.

Digging deep to find some negatives... I reckon they still overused the handball a little. Too keen to get a quick handball off rather than stand back and take a kick. Sometimes the kick would be a better option. Still need a little polish in front of goals too; one or two decisions made up forwards were not the best.

Mark of the season to North #9 (was that O'Hara?) on the grandstand wing in the second (?) term. That was a corker.
