I love poms, especially the sound they make when they hit the canvas.

Mitch and Hilf are bowling so so well at the moment. I think this is the best bowling partnership i have seen in a long long time from any side in world cricket.

The poms talking about POnting asking for an extra half hours play so the game can be over tonight. Shit they give up quickly.

Fancy a test match only lasting possibly 7 sessions. That is bloody terrible by the Poms. Great to see all 4 bowlers have made a significant contribution in this game. All looks well heading into the final and deciding test.

They simply can't drop one of these bowlers for Lee after this performance.

Unchanged into the next test for me.

Wow, fantastic stuff. I went to bed when both openers in and there were about 40-odd on the board. I missed the party!! And how nice was it to discover Mitchell Johnson has 3 poles? Let's hope this is the start of something big.

I notice people have made comment on night watchmen, so here's my 20 cents' worth. IMHO, the night watchman has proven time and again to be a failed and futile exercise. People may point out the odd time it has worked, but it fails at least 95% of the time ... so why bother?

Even if the tail ender survives the evening (a lot of times they don't), they are out early the next day, and all it has achieved is to upset the batting order. Australia did it with Gillespie, and although some people thought it worked, it meant Gilchrist was coming in at 8 with little to follow. Not smart.

And sending out Anderson to protect Prior and Broad is an absolute joke. I can't recall taking such an instant dislike for a player as I have with Broad in this series. What a jerk.

And to the Pommies who boo Ricky Ponting ... you should be booing YOUR number 3, not ours.

Yep, as Mal would testify, I am possibly the biggest supporter of Brett Lee imaginable, but I couldn't justify his selection for this Test, and I certainly couldn't squeeze him into the 5th Test.

Maybe what we need now is for the Aussie cricketers to write an article about Rebecca Wilson's journalistic "talents" .. or lack thereof. I've often wondered how journalists would like it if they became publicly ridiculed, and their integrity questioned. Not very much would be my guess.

Adelaide 98-99, admitedly it dis last 3 overs into the 8th session....

AH, ask Gillespie if he rates nightwatchmen. The nightwatchman position has enabled him to say to, Flipper, Boof, Blewett, Mark Waugh, etc, "So what's your highest test score?"
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
