Yep. He's gone.

Can we have someone with at least some football coaching experience??? Who is from a successful club.....
Has a wide range of football knowledge....

Clay was thrown in like a "fish out of water".

The experiment has not worked. The FOC and board have to wear that!!!

Maybe the board can look at their positions too????

Get the broom out I say.... ;) It's long overdue.....

Any chance of South having success has stepped back another 2 years at least.

Wow. 3 coaches sacked in a 9 team comp in 1 year. I wonder if Timmy will make 4? Have to be a record if it happens?

Actually, Hill and Fuller both went voluntarily.
Sampson is not confirmed.
Timmy is probably treading water

Healey and Norman are first year coaches; Collins is on the improve with on-field results; Laird is there as long as he likes and Mickan has re-signed. So it surely couldn't be any more than 4 new coaches in 2010 but at this stage it is only 2, neither of whom were sacked (according to the media releases that is).

Get your facts correct Clarrie.

Clay was thrown in the position after Cahill left the club.

He had no coaching experience and it showed. The result so far have not been successful.

The club must now look at a experienced coach to take on the role. Clay would be a great assistant.

Clarrie, to say our club is nothing but "drama , drama" is like the pot calling the kettle black.

I remember in the late 80's and early 90's when your club was a basket case.....you have gone through coaches too over the years - look at your own history. We are going through a tough time - give us a go mate and back off a bit.

Lol what a great day IF true to have it released that this was going to happen, surely another day would've made things a little easier, for all involved, tonight.

Southee there's a marked difference if you must compare scenarios between Sturt 20 years ago and South in the past 3 years til now. We were broke and still are and you guys are rolling in it and are a basket case. You have the world at your feet down there with bucket loads of cash and a poor ability to organise onfield football success. We shouldn't feel sorry for you. If you can get it right you have the possibility of being the 'New' Centrals for the coming decade. Good luck!

But now he has coaching experience and is going to be got rid of?
What experienced coach in their right mind would take n the South Adelaide job after their off-field efforts over the past decade?
From the outside, South appear to have been competitive a lot of weeks, just come unstuck the last two.

Don't make me laugh Southee...

Refer back through previous posts and you'll see that I'm very supportive of South Adelaide and have been urging all their supporters to hang in there while you, after every loss, push the panic button, call for the coaches head and generally try and stir trouble...

I agree with you regarding Sturt in the late 80's and early 90's. We were a rabble, caused through instability to a great extent.

To pretend South is not currently one drama after another contradicts everything you've been saying on here post round 3...

"Back off a bit" - wow, now who's calling the kettle black? Southee = Pot.... You are South's number one detractor... (Although I know you are also one of their most passionate supporters)...

if clay has 'full support of the board' he as we know would be in trouble...they haven't had a ruckman since parry & then mackernan were injured they have blooded kids who look promising & with kids you'll get the blowouts & we have seen south perform well during games earlier in the year so they should ride it out or will be back to square one.....as for the board IF they sack/terminate clay perhaps the board should also terminate themselves as after all they put him there in there in the first place
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

As I said in my earier post, it is a disgrace if they ditch Clay within 4 days of offering to the members, total support of him. WTF are the board thinking by issuing such a communication?

I had real sympathy for South's position, but if this is true, now think they are their own worst enemy.

The fact that they have money, may indicate that they are reasonable businessmen, but they know F'all about football or how to structure a football department.

So if its all about money, fine, the Panthers can exist and be happy with their lot in life.
Just don't ask their supporters some of whom seem happy to take it any which way the board offers it.

Or are there some Blue and White supporters out there who are not so happy to bend over?
Who was it that posted earlier about the "KY". LOL!

Young and inexperienced or not, they supported Clay and after 1 year he is shite? Give me a break!

So realistically, who do you expect is going to come in and pull it all together?
Show me one South coach that has done that in the last 20 years.
....and I am only expecting that such results would amount to finals appearances.

I say give the bloke a fighting chance, give him some support and don't make him the next martyr dressed in navy blue, hoisted to the gallows pole.

Settle this rumour down guys....
There is no doubt that Clay will continue as the coach of SAFC with the full support of the board.
