PS3 Games you should get!!

Played Ashes last night and was pretty impressed.
Gameplay is smooth and the graphics are great.
The 20/20 format is particularly entertaining and the bowling aspect is easy to control and actually fun.

Only let downs are:
Australia and England have the only official team lists.
Lack of statistics.
No World Cup option.

But pretty good effort overall.

Would love if playstation bought out a horse racing game that was 4-8 players, would really enjoy whipping down the straight with 3 other mates instead of just smashing computer generated versions.

i would love for there to be a decent AFL game made, in the style that EA SPORTS makes their awesome FIFA, NBA, MADDEN etc.....


i'm a big fan of games where you get to do a heap on management work. like in FIFA, where you get to re-negotiate contracts, loan players and all that sort of jazz.

and also, love the "superstar" feature in MADDEN games. for those of you that are unfamiliar, it's basically a "career" version, but you only control "yourself". eg. in NFL, i go quaterback, and i only control myself being the quaterback, i throw the ball, it's not up to me to catch it, i have no control over weather the reciever completes the pass or not. you have to get sponsors, win awards and make money to move into a bigger apartment, making your way into a mansion, you can demand a trade and do a heap of other stuff.

can anyone recommend any games on the net where i get to be more of a manager than a player? that includes all sports, i just love it!

On the Wii, Modern Warfare is a great one with talks of nukes and use of hand held Javelin missile launchers.

World at War has a very historical flavour, recreating scenes from WWII up to the invasion of Berlin, right up to Hitlers bunker.

For FPS you can't go past Modern Warfare 2 at the moment. One of the best FPS I've played. The campaign and Spec-Ops options are great but the online play is where its at!!

Modern Warfare 2 is great. Also recommend Borderlands and Assassin's Creed 2. Also recommend getting an Xbox 360. My PS3 is only ever used for BluRay viewing now. And that is nowhere near a top of the line player.

My brother brought over Army of Two the other day and I got addicted to that...a really good shooter...you're a private army merc with a partner...and apparently Co-op is pretty good..

Then went to JBs yesterday and traded 3 games and got Army of Two - The 40th Day for free...this one only came out this week i think...

I think this one is even better so far. Has extra things like mask customisation...better gun customisation...and the gameplay is really good...

you can make decisions which effect the outcome of the game...eg. the first one is to either assassinate someone that helps you at the start of the game as ordered...or let him go and say he got away...i chose the latter and a video played of him leaving, getting on a plane, sipping a drink on a tropical beach in a deck chair, when a scuba diver walks out of the ocean with a silenced pistol and caps that mofo...

Also, I have the HDMI cable and the graphics are pretty amazing...even in the first game which came out in 2008, but the new ones even better.

Lord of the Rings Conquest is pretty good.

I also recommend Fairytale Fights - it's just wrong. Definitely not one for the kids!

My son got a heap for Chirstmas, Cricket is pretty good but Ive been playing Wii Resort mainly, Im addicted to the 3 on 3 Basketball, still undefeated! the other sports ive tried are all good fun

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising

Just started it. Its pretty tactical...so if you like the Socoms and Conflict series on Playstation you'd like this...not as good as Army of Two tho...

Awesome game.

I'm glad you went 2k10 over Live.. it really is the best basketball sim out there. The My Player mode is a bit of fun too.

Yep My Player is great. So is the NBA.com part too.
The stats all come live from the NBA website and pop up randomly during games.

2K10 is the official game of the NBA I believe.
I was gonna get the other one, but my mate wisely pointed me in the right direction.
