The Tigers aren't playing at their best in recent weeks but are still a side capable of demolishing pretty much any team they front up against...

North have shown glimpses but are frustrating supporters and coach alike with inconsistancy and will be keen to rebound from the Sturt loss...

Should make for a good game in front of the Roosters home crowd, I'd expect the Tigers to get up by maybe 3 or 4 goals in a good game...

North Adelaide's Clint Alleway

NORTH Adelaide is hopeful star centre-half-forward Clint Alleway can overcome a shoulder injury and return against Glenelg this weekend.

Alleway has missed the past two weeks after copping a knock to the AC joint against West Adelaide in Round 16.

He trained last week in the lead up to Saturday’s game against Sturt, but the club decided not to risk him.

``He was close, but we want to make sure he was completely right to go,’’ Roosters football operations manager James Moore said.

``At first we thought me might need an operation but his movement is getting better every day.

``There’s no structural damage and we’re getting good reports by the specialist.

``If he gets through training okay this Wednesday it will be up to the match committee as to whether they pick him.’’

Alleway would be a welcome return to the North Adelaide side that is facing massive games against Glenelg and Central District in coming weeks.

It will take a miracle for Alleway to play this week and my "mail" says he wouldn't be anywhere near even 60 percent fit with his shoulder but we are desperate to find a fwd who could actually give us a decent target. I'm not sure risking further more serious injury is worth it this week or for the remainder of the minor round when the rest of the side is playing so poorly it wouldn't matter if we had Ken Farmer lining up at FF (now there's a thought... ).

We can't get the double chance so I wouldn't risk him until he is close enough to 100 percent fit which is likely to be the elimination final if we can limp to the finish line in 5th spot?

P.S. Bays by anywhere from 5 goals to 10 goals on Sunday!

Should be a good crowd, North have been getting good home crowds this year and the Bays fans tend to like Sunday matches (heathens), also a lot of ammos players come out which is good.
I'm normally against Sunday games but am looking forward to a World of Warcraft marathon on Saturday!
There could be more entertainment at the Taj Mahal (Grog Squad bar down the southern end) than on the field I've been told so I'll make sure I get the camera out this week!

but they don't tend to like Prospect. For a few years now the Glenelg presence at Prossy has been disappointingly small.

Surely you jest - seen North play lately? Even with a half fit Alleway back in won't change how we have recently been playing. Still, could we play any worse - so maybe we are due???
