Really it was a mistake to dig up all the tram tracks in the first place.

50 Million (from memory) wasted if they do this.

How the Government can spend that much money on a 10 minute (at best) walk is beyond me.

There are SO many other issues with the transport that would benefit from this money rather than spending it on a "flagship" for the Government to hang their hat on before the election.

We are not Melbourne, we are totally different to Melbourne.

Lets increase tourism by letting peopel stay on a tram for 2 minutes whilst it goes to the rail station, meaning all the shops and businesses along the route don't get the pedestrian traffic.

How the hell can you compare the tram system in Melbourne or New York to what we have or will have here in Adelaide? We hardly have the same population, traffic density or city area size. You will all be laughing when you lose a lane of traffic on King William Street because they have already said they will not be getting rid of the median strip.

The buses are virtually already gone from King William Street and have been relocated to Grenfill St, and anyone who catches a bus regularly will know how stupid that move was.

To all the people who are too lazy to do the 5 minute walk or the one minute FREE bus ride from Victoria Square to the train station, you deserve all the riddicule that I will throw at you. Even if it is raining, you can walk under the balconies of the buildings along King William Street and make it to the train station without hardly getting wet. And how many people really go from Victoria Square to the train station each day?

This has to be the most stupid idea to get passed both in parliament and by the Aelaide City Council for a long time. Surely the money could be better spent elsewhere. And Brent, surely you are not silly enough to think that if the money wasn't spent on the tram line then it would just sit around and collect interest, of course it has come from somewhere that is not $21m worse off.It will not promote tourism in any way.
