Bit harsh on Rudi there REB. I thought it was the dream of every South African boy growing up to beat Australia in an Ashes Test! :shock: Rudi's only following in Pietersen's footsteps! Goodluck to him. :evil:

I can't believe Jason Gillespie is even being discussed for a best-ever Ashes side, as good a bowler as he was at his best.

Good to see Wally Grout get the gloves in your side, REB. (Even though I'd pick Gilchrist).

If you picked an England side on a similar basis, i would think the majority would come from before and just after the war, so Australian players should also be judged on the opposition they played against.
