Sounds like there were a few tense moments at the HCA AGM Part 1 earlier in the week. Couple of clubs not to happy about Mylor refusing to come up to the A1s. Also sounds like happys are dropping the A1s, can anyone confirm?

Can confirm Mylor wont be stepping up, but that should not be a suprise to anyone - has been plenty of discussion on it on these boards in the past. If we thought we could sustain it beyond the next two years we might have a crack, but we just don't have the depth to play A1s (as in our view you need a competitive A2s behind it). Besides - we expect a couple of changes to the personnel from the previous two premiership.

Can't confirm that anyone was tense, aside from some discussion about the T20 games last year which included some imaginitive recollections.

Can't confirm anything about Happy Valley, other than the fact that it is miles away...

Are some clubs trying to force Mylors hand? Can the HCA make the decision for Mylor or is it all based on their nominations? From memory Meadows were "encouraged" a few years back and has proved to be the right decision and they have shown it can be down without a A2 team (Onkas also won a flag without an A2 team)

Getting rid of the bye needs to be a priority IMO, Lofty went 8 weeks in the middle of the season without a game, not ideal when trying to get kids to play the game...

Cupido wont be back...

No tense moments, a few clubs particulary in A grade want to revert to an even team comp, and eliminate the bye. If this means happys out, well this could be justified by the fact that they have been in our association for 7 or 8 years and haven't made a finals campaign yet in the ones...

Personally bring on an 8 team comp, a good mix up of one dayers and two dayers and a lot fairer draw.

Heard a few A graders at SCIBs are looking to step down, could be some big shoes to fill.

My wish list for the HCA this season-

Lose the bye in A's, that way lofty have no excuses for finishing bottom next year ;)
One dayers in B's
More teams and NO T20 in C's, 40overs is short enough.
Ditch Upper Sturt and Crafers P.S ovals. You wouldnt play u13 school cricket on them

We had out agm the other night. The Pres didn’t have too much news really. I’d imagine the main issues will be:

-Make up of the A grade. Lenswood Ranges to come up. Possibly Mt Torrens/Charleston or Cambrai to follow (some arm twisting required I’d say)
-Palmer situation
-All the B grade games to be one dayers (sign of the times unfortunately :? )
-Something about players needing to wear closed shoes when umpiring (no thongs basically). That rule wont last long…
-The 20/20 comp
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..

Cupido was leading Stirling training today at the Adelaide Oval indoor nets, so I guess he is definitely going around again (captain/coach?)

I herd that Cupido just came back to Adelaide for the purpos of leading Stirling's training last week. Apparently he has moved most of his stuff back to VIC. I guess if hes if the $$ right he will keep comming back...

HCA AGM Part 2 was held on Monday night with following nominations:

- 9 A Grade teams
- 10 B Grade teams
- 9 C Grade teams
- 9 D Grade teams

Discussion suggested that no team will be pushed into A Grade, so therefore bye will remain. Clubs with only d grade but no c grade may be pushed up to even out 1 day comp.
