This new release from The Huckleberry Swedes (Adelaide Roots/Country Rock) has to be THE album of the year!
They've gone into the studio and reworked these classic Swedes tunes and turned them all into works of art.
I've been playing it non stop since Saturday night...haven't been so taken by the sound of a band since the early 80's with Cold Chisel.

I bought it today, what a train wreck!
Unusually for me, I listened to the whole album once (whilst driving around) straight away- there is 1 good song on there "I Ain't Worried".
I seriously doubt it will grow on me...
RIP Rancid

Hope I'm not disappointed with Suffocation's Blood Oath.... (when I get it)

The Chromatics - Night Drive (IV)

Minimalist - VERY minimalist - electro, with dreamy female vocals. So laid back it's actually put me to sleep - twice - while listening to the MP3 player in bed.

Highlight is a cover of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill".

I see eMusic.com has a couple of their albums, perhaps I'll try one out. Cheers for the heads-up.

God it's a good track. I've been meaning to make a mashup of it with the chorus from It's the End of the World as We Know It which for some reason I started singing along to while listening to it in the car. Plus it fits thematically

FL Studio is really good, plus a regular sound editor like Audacity or Cool Edit

FL, I haven't used it before, have heard good and bad things. I cut my teeth on Reason, but haven't played with that for a long time.

Have been playing with Riffworks for a year or so now, just making 60-second punk tracks, but I think I would like to get back into using Reason at some point.

It used to be a bit dinky when it was known as Frooty Loops but it's a fair bit more powerful these days. I just mess around anyway, don't really know what I'm doing. Riffworks sounds interesting though

Riffworks is pretty easy to use, even for a musically retarded person like me, very happy with it.

Okay, now play on...

Has anyone bought the new Kasabian album? I was thinking of getting it tonight.
