He has put in a couple of blinders. Kicked 9 goals twice including last time against tailem. Yesterday he was well held for the most part but he did have his chances. He missed 4 or 5 shots and if Mannum want to win the flag they cant rely too much on him.

Is it actually $1800 a game? I've heard a few figures, $900 seems to be the one most likely, but who really knows apart from the Mannum Football Club.

There were a few stories that he copped a hamstring injury in the 2nd quarter on Saturday v Tailem, he really should have come off if that was the case.

Who knows, he may be saving his best for the finals, i'm sure the Roos will certainly hope he does!!

There would not be a country footy club who wouldnt give their president's lefty to have Clive fit and flying high during finals. Barely missed a presentation home or away, I know plenty of clubs who wish their travelling players would stick around as much as he does

While I didnt jump for joy at the result, tailem V Mannum was one of the most even hard fought games I have seen all seaon. What a change to that whole club from a couple years ago. Well done to those responsible.

nothing much to say on tailem. believe i had made my point earlier that they are not as good as what has been made out of them. it was only 2 weeks ago they were out of the top 5. they lost against jervois (rnd 4) imperials (rnd 5) ramblers (rnd 6) mannum (rnd 8) menigie (rnd 9) had the bye (rnd 10), lost to jervois (rnd 11) imperials (rnd 12) and ramblers (rnd 13). won mypo (rnd 7) and have now won two in a row and all of a sudden you think they are great again? they have only won 5 games for the year. they will make the finals but will only be making up numbers. as i have said dent and the club have splashed out alot of cash for not much in return they are only going to finish one better than last year and have no hope in a successful finals campaign this year. to rebuild the club needs to find a new coach who can coach a team.

Half Back so Tailem beat mypo (5th) Mannum (3rd) in recent weeks and you tell me the coach has no idea??. I think you don't have a football brain and I would like to know what amount the club is spending each week and I can tell you its not much compared to some clubs in the leauge??. The one bloke that was on good coin is no longer around and even if the club does make the finals and gets knocked out straight away the club has improved on the past three years. No one said the side was great, but we did pump them up at the start with all players available, fit and inform they could be dangerous

Gww I was at the game Imps kicked 9 goals to 1 in the first quarter game over. The one possitive was muffy back who got through the game ok for Tailem Bend. I have heard that Meningie got over Jervios today, massive game next week between Tailem and Meningie.

when they beat mypo they were on equal win/loss ratio (3 games won each) and tailem were only behind on %. if they had beaten imperials or ramblers in the last 2 weeks i might have a different opinon. in fact they lost yesterday which again they will be making numbers in the finals. all clubs spend money but my point was that tailem werent spending money on the right players which leads alot back to the coach who recruits them. the bloke that has left now was on $600 a game and i dont believe he did anything noticeable at his time with tailem. that $600 could of been better spent on 2-5 players.
No one said the side was great look back at earlier posts the team was highly talked about as a serious finals contender. next season will be intersting if dent stays on to coach. and how many of the players will stick around. or will we see a repeat of throwing $600 at the first player to walk through the door.

Its been a very long time since Jervois have gone down to Meningie!!! Can imagine the Meningie faithful would have enjoyed every minute of that win. Whats happeneng down at bluds land this season?? Do they have it in them to upset any teams come finals time??

Jervois will have no impact whatsoever come finals time. If Tailem finish fifth I imagine that they will know them out in the elimination final.

Also does anyone know if a team has played in the GF one year and finished bottom the next because thats what looks like happening with Mypo this year.

Link to the results page on the RMFL site:

http://www.rmfl.com.au/fileadmin/RMFL/R ... esults.htm

Mannum 11 goals in the 3rd quarter, and none in the last, their fitness has to be a huge concern approaching the finals.

Noticed a "P Kempe" kicking a goal for Mypo's B grade, surely thats not Peter Kempe, he'd be about 50 now  . I presume its his son.

Redlegs played in the grand final in 95, i'm not sure where they finished the next year but i think quite a few of their Hills recruits left, so it might have been then.

Only about half the last quarter was played Mannum VS Mypo, game called off early due to possible spinal injury to one of the Mypo players and they didnt want to move him until ambos arrived. Mannum kicked several points to a couple of Mypo goals up until that point but wouldnt read too much into Mannum not kicking a goal under the circumstances. Couple of Mannum players were a bit spent but had done a s/load of work prior to that

Listening to the speeched after the game, Crossy mentioned that Mypo had 14 players under 21 in their side Saturday, & 1 of my mates that plays out there said they have 8 under 19. Thats very young, with only 2 imports, 1 of which didn't play in Coulter. Must be hard for them after last years success, but atleast the future looks good out there.

Saw Josh Coulter on Saturday watching his club for next year. Hard to keep him in one place.
