Willunga beat goolwa by about 20 goals in the end. Congrats to the big Dave "cheeza" Hams on kicking his 100th goal for the season!! I always enjoy listening to the comments from the goolwa faithful all afternoon, they way they see the game is quite amusing!!

Looks to me like it's going to be a Langhorne Creek vs Willunga Grand final with Mt Compass the only other team that may be in with a chance to sneak in a grand final appearance. Is big Webby back yet for the Dogs?

Victor look to have stumbled big-time.
The loss of Pittman must have hurt their structure immensely.
Ellis tries hard, but the delivery he receives is second rate.

Roos may be ok in years to come, but at this stage they're too inexperienced.
Will be out of the finals at the first attempt, looked like a couple of injuries for them out of saturday's game also.

Creeks look polished, and well drilled. Big danger to the Demons.

Shoey, i think it just reinforces how good Willunga are, not how bad Goolwa were.

I only seen the first half and Creek looked awesome, too fast, too strong, too fit, too experienced and on paper just TOO GOOD. I think the margin at half time was around 8 goals. Victor's first half they fought hard and Creeks didn't have it as easy as the score line would suggest with both sides finding it hard to clear the ball from stoppages and get clean forward movement. From what I hear the last Qtr Creeks really ran riot and dominated.
Victor had a quiet a few guys missing and had 4 players get their first taste of A grade footy then also had a couple key injuries during the game, hopefully over the next week or two we can get a few guys back and get things back on track for the first week of finals.
Creeks are the better side I have seen so far this season and it should be a Willunga VS. Creek grand final and it will be a cracker game no doubt. Compass, Strath and Victor are just not upto the level of these two sides I wouldn't think.

You tosser!! The coin we spend? We have 4 paid players and of the remainder, every single one resides in Goolwa and there are 15 players under 25 (which included 2 senior colts). Injury and unavailble list included Kenn Campbell, Ben Yeomans, Michael McGuinness, Mark McGuinness and Tom Fergusson who would be our 5 quickest players. It also included Dustin Hirst, who is a former captain and most experienced player. Whitey did a hammy before half time (leading goal scorer)

The performance was poor and it is not been accepted but to be 6 and 9 with 2 winnable games to come we have certainly gone forward this year. Go back to the SFL shoe boy and discuss all the police incidents from your weekends matches.

hey luvsfooty i read zac got best for u guys again mate,he must be an extremely big positive for youre club so far this season going into next year,off the field how do u think zac has settled in with all his new surroundings?

Not like that at all mate. We had a few outs and struggled to cover our losses and then also injuries during the game that hurt the final score. The score is what everyone see's at the end of the day and its not a nice looking margin to someone who did not see the game and the situations that may have happened during the game. We will hope to get a few guys back and over the next three weeks get things really rolling and come that first week of finals be ready to launch out attack on the 09 finals, how far we go is upto us and how much we want it we have showed we can match it with the likes of Willunga and will look to reach those heights again come finals.

Zac is a great footballer, has had a great year and will probably poll well in the mail medal. He needs more help in the midfield because he does get heavily tagged. I get along with him well off the field and I think that most others do as well (although he has banned me from staying at his house after i threw up on his stairs). I think he provides some good info to Simon and the club as well. After been involved with Jervois and Morphett Vale he knows about success. There is some positive behind the scenes work going on at the moment with potential recruits, hopefully he stays on for 2010 to be a part of it.

Coach Simmo was absent back at the LC Club Sat night as he was down with his son, suspected broken ankle was the last I heard, not confirmed though. Didn't look good but.

Victor although struggling at present did give Goolwa a touch up last week and when finals time comes their big name players will step up. They will really need the locals to rise to the levels they were at early in the season to challenge for the flag. Hopefully Campbells leg is ok, very unlucky for the kid, whos had a great season for Victor and played association and zone footy!

Goolwa on Saturday were committed but just lacked some polish in their finishing. Zac was very good, he got plenty of the ball and will poll very well in the Mail Medal Luvsfooty and would possibly even be the favourite! After speaking with him Saturday hes enjoying his time at the club, and has some recruits lined up for the Magpies that will greatly strengthen their side!

Well done to David Hams, 100 goals is a fantastic effort, its his 3rd ton and his 2nd in a row. Gives us a very strong focal point to go to and it was great on Saturday to see the continued form of Matty Thomas but the resurgence of Sammy Mcgowan was heartening for all Demon supporters.

Shouldnt you be worrying about your own backyard, after a loss to Christies Beach?? Do we need to post your performances against the top clubs this year?
Noarlunga has paid players does it not? And you are no certainty to make the top 8, let alone the top 5. The only way your club has achieved success in recent times is by recruiting from other clubs, so its probably no surprise you expect recruiting to equal success.
