Sorry thought that Strauss would want to make a game of it or make it hard for the Aussies to win the Ashes by England wining. I know there pleanty of overs to be bowled

That's not a bad point Thiele. I think this draw will help us - all we need to do is win one more and draw the other. If we lose this Test, we will need to win the last two to retain it.

My aplogies THIELE
Yes you might be right
EG might declare just b4 stumps with a lead of 150-200 runs
And only one team can win on day 5

I think it's a pretty good call Thiele, but there wouldn't be many international captains with that much creativity.

Don't listen to Mal, he gets a little carried away with himself in cricket threads. Gets the occasional prediction correct and believes himself to be an oracle.

SMAC

OK prediction time
I will go out out on a limb
This match will be a draw

I actually changed my mind about THIELES declaration, reckon EG should declare close to stumps if still batting

This game is getting to be like the first test when AU declared late on day4
after our keeper smasssssssssssssshed a ton

The Poms can't build a ground that's oval, why would you think they could design a drainage system that works, even when it rains nearly every day over there?

Rudi has gone past making a fool of himself. He now is at the point where he needs to be pushed out of a plane with no parachute.

It is past Aussies complaining about the umpires decisions but seriously this bloke is finished at this level, he is really struggling to make the right decision atm.

Warnie's telling it like it is about everyone's favourite umpire

Agree. I've found Warnie to be the most insightful commentator of them all, and they all are pretty good commentators, too.

And thankfully Rudi did Manou a favour by signalling that as wides. But it should have always been anyway.

When are they going to ******* get rid of Rudi? He is totally inept. Typical that a South African would favour a team full of jarpies.
