I agree that Zorzi should be amongst the highest players to poll well for Norwood, but based on what I have seen live, wacthed on telly and read or listened to reviews of Norwood games, hasn't Zorzi spent more time in the midfield this year than in defence ?

About 50/50. Played the first 6 games at FB, then got a run on the ball against Glenelg. The following week it was back to FB to stand Chambers from Sturt. Fortunately we've unearthed Stopp and Schulz, and along with Will Young it allows Zorzi to spend more time on the ball these days.

Fair enough AH. I know when Brett speaks on radio he mentions that he really enjoys the freedom of playing in the midfield and with all of his experience, skill and hardness, is definately a valuable asset for the Redlegs when in their on ball brigade. He did of course come over from the Northern Bullants in the VFL as a midfielder but true to his great versatility was able to adapt and be one of the best full backs in the SANFL this decade.

Yep, and for my money should be captain of Norwood in 2010. I like Gallagher as a player but I think Zorz has more to offer as an on-field leader, especially now he is obviously going to be used more in the midfield. We keep swinging him back to stand Chambers, but even though he keeps Chambo to a minimum, Sturt still wins comfortably, so it defeats the purpose.

I think he'd be a real chance, but I wonder if other Central midfielders may take votes from him, although Callinan being out would help.

Adam Fisher has been our most consistant mid-fielder, played the most games and usually polls well.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Mark McKenzie probably been the most consistent Eagle this year, the other usual suspects Powell and Treeby have hardly played and Cica has really only hit his straps in the last month.
Trust the process.

Broadbent and McGregor will also poll reasonably well.

Tristan Gum for me. Missed a few but I still think he'll be a great chance...

Broadbent has been very consistent but Kenny will steal a few votes for some eye catching performances, even if they were only for a 1/4 ;) .

Ryan Williams will poll well early but form has dropped away terribly the last month...

Chad O'Sullivan, despite having a couple of flat weeks, will probably poll best for Central...

Scott Dutschke is having a career best season and is a real chance as well, is eye catching with his courage as well...

I think you may have forgotten Brayden O'Hara, personally i think he will be our B&f at this stage, whether that equates to Magarey Medal votes is another thing though.

Yeah, you are right there whufc, I did forget about Brayden, who has come on in leaps and bounds and is perhaps unlucky not to be on an AFL rookie list this year...

I think the B&F drawn right now at Centrals would be a 3-way race between Dutschke, O'Sullivan and O'Hara. I guess this may also mean that those 3 guys mentioned may take votes off each other.

What has Herring's form been like at Sturt throughout the year?

James Boyd at South always polls well - 3rd last year and has won the equivalent medal at u/17s, u/19s and reserves levels - could he get the quadrella at some stage in his career?

Lastly, what are the broadcast arrangements this year? Will it be back on TV, or will we have to hope that PhilH et al can do another broadcast?

Well we're all flattered that you like our jumpers  and possibly the umps prefer them to the rotting-teeth-breath spray's they get from the Gowans-Gobbers.

here we go again, now it gets personal.

So you tipping another ruckman / rover combination ala Ryan O'Connor and Tony Brown at the Maggies Jabber ???

I reckon Buckets Mackenzie / Chad O'Sullivan would be a good double that might poll well, as will Ackland / Allan at North...

Got a feeling that the umps will have noticed the likes of Sheedy and might takes some votes from Gum.

Sheeds was in vintage form early in the season. Should poll in Rounds 6, 7 and 10, and possibly Round 5 in a close loss against North. Chambers should get the 3 votes in round 7 however.

While Port have only won four games, five of their losses have been by 18 points or less, suggesting the good chance of preference votes. On that basis, and being one of the leading clearance players in the league, I would have thought that Brad Murray would have ticked a lot of boxes.

O'Hara is inelgible as he has been found guilty of a reportable offence.
