Modern day left foot footballer template. And three satisfying careers at three different clubs.

This person readily sprang to mind, as soon as you described the incident.

Peckers Disco must have gotten quiet occasionally.
Had legendary status at Oval Ave.

Does anyone know why there was always a bare patch on the HF flank at Woodville Oval? Not because most of his goals were kicked from that spot!

Legs got up by a point after the final siren sounded at about the 21 minute mark.

Crowd went nuts!

Almost a big blue between the rival cheer squads after the game.

Brian was right in the thick of it.

Actually, he was the main agitator!

Due to my own footy committments I missed the majority of Legs games in the 90's, although I do recall us winning by 1pt at the kennel some time around then ... I might have to ask around to get a bit more info on this one.

That would have been 1996. Norwood 12-2 d. Central 11-7.

I've always thought it was 1995?!?! I can still remember what the Dogs supporters (inc. myself) where chanting after the final siren. Loudest chant of "Bullsiht!, Bullsiht!, Bullsiht!, Bullsiht!" i've ever heard. I also remember a few fights as well.

I think what caused all the trouble was the time clock. IIRC, the match was played just after they changed the rules from 25 mins + time-on to 20 mins + time-on AND/OR someone forgot to paint the 20-25 minute section in yellow on the time clock. So when the siren went (at 23 mins IIRC) everyone went nuts.

Anyone here remember that Centrals Vs Norwood match at the Parade in either June or July 2000? I remember standing behind the southern goals during the last qtr and turning to my right to the hill and seeing this mass movement of swinging bodies and arms at the top. I walked to middle of the hill and chairs and everything was flying everywhere from Dogs and Legs supporters brawling. I turned to watch the match only to see a bloke on the fence smack a folded up chair over another blokes head. Crazy.
