The Koch scenario to South Gawler is a double edged sword.

The Assenders pies sales would go through the roof but the double doors at the club rooms entrance would need to extended to accomodate his 150kg frame.

No doubt the big Koch sees the game through very analytical eyes and can dissect
an opposition with surgical precision, but can he deliver a fiery speech and convey his
game plan to a team, from what I have seen he is a 'behind the scenes' worker and apart
from the occassional cry of "3 minutes" doesn't really address anyone verbally.
Wouldn't get too carried away with Gawlers win on the weekend, would think without saying as much,
the Angaston fray wouldnt be too upset with the loss. The team was screaming for the bye and with
an entire on-ball division out...Dawes, Harvey, Bain and Reimann, plus a 3 or 4 other utilities, the result
is meaningless. The only thing Ango really lost appears to be a mercedes benz, which is really probably
just a Hyundai hatchback with the mercedes emblem scrawled on the boot.
Good effort by Kapunda on saturday, think Nuri might enjoy the bye too, Love the 9 team competition.
Not a shock that South beat the Dogs, will give Herzick something to put on his resume', should make
it a solid 5 seconds read now.

Would the bulldogs have lost if nelson was on board?? I hear they only had 12 at training last thursday night, surely the season can't finish quick enough for the BLG train wreck Barossa.

How are the hillbillies going to over come gawler centrals in the first semi. Thats 2 comfortable wins for the tigers. Hadden's panthers don't have the pace to match up on the gawler tigers.

There is no doubt that Barossa Districts want Oconnor back at the helm next season. Money talks and bullshit walks and it seems Nelson will be walking.

Nelson may stay on as his assistant.

Lets just say club legends like Jack Thompson & Tank Murray want him stood down at the years end and Oconnor reinstated at any cost.

If Gawler Centrals had just won back to back flags and then dropped off the radar due to the premiership coach leaving and a incompetent replacement, id be wanting that premiership coach back to Tigerland ASAP.

Could get messy at BD just like the South Gawler coaching debate will end in tears at seasons end.

PacMan. I spoke to Tank & Jack Thompson on the weekend and they can't think why you would put this down. Tank has not been at the club for past 10 years and played footy with Nelson when they were kids. As for Jack he was knocked over when told you said this. Get it right .
If I see it I say it.

Agreed, the form line says Gawler......
But If Angaston are full strength (and they weren't anywhere near it on Saturday),
At Tanunda oval, I reckon it will play out real different.
Gawler had Tayls and Hilly out which will be a bonus for them in a month.
Will be a great 1st semi if both are full strength.

The panthers limped down to Centrals on Saturday and were happy to rest Dawes and Bain, whilst still withholding Bascombe and Reimann.
I guess the advantage to setting your season up early is that you can start preparing for finals a month or so out.
Include Dawes, Bain, Reimann, Bascombe and fingers crossed on Harvey's availability will see a different panther outfit.
As far as the pace is concerned, dont really see this as a problem on a small Tanunda oval, relative to Angaston oval.
The only concern I have is history tells us that Central has there name on the 3rd spot and to get there they will need to beat Angaston.
Either way Nuri will go out in straight sets.

Not sure you would call Bascombe an inclusion. Maybe an inclusion in the B grade. Lets hope come finals we get to see another brain snap like the Big Hugh Reimers about 8 years back in the same final V the same teams! Mayb their still a role for bascombe to play!

I saw it live as well. Vivian recieved a bit back from what he gave out. Gawler Central lack discipline, it has always been their undoing they go hard at the body not the ball, eg round 2 Nuri Gerhardy was lined up and left the ground with a broken nose,a culture they need to change. Nunga, Hermann, Jenner to name a few good players could of been better if they concentrated on the ball. King tries to be tuff but is all mouth he's like a little Chiwawa that won't shut up I wouldn't even let him captain the SS Feathersword Ship.

I hear the leggies had a dip on saturday and played some reasonable footy in the first and third quarters, considering they remain winless their must be some positive signs that they are still having a crack to break the duck.

A fine first half display by Norsworthy who reportedly had 7 at the main change playing on the footy as well.

Finished with 9 goals and took the best screamer I have ever seen.
Basically standing on Freeling's Brad Muster's shoulders and that's not to be exaggerated
Couldn't tell if it was Brad but I was told it was.

i saw koch tonight at the cricket agm and he told me he is very much in the embrionic stages of negotiations with the willaston fc. he indicated to me in confidence that he and the club are poles apart at the moment but was confident they would come to an arrangement (hope he doesnt read this). if he not he said he had some other plans in the pipeline which he wasnt prepared to elaborate on but judging by all the talk on here those plans would possibly include sth gawler.

He would be a huge loss for the donnybrooks i'm sure he'll be taking a close look at the lions this week in what will be a ripper of local derby with the lions starting to play some decent footy in the last 4 weeks.

pretty close there WAC ;) but i doubt dawes will even be angastons top vote getter. just talking to a few angaston people they reckon brandon kurtz has had a ripper season judging by the amount of times he has been at after match presentations this year.

If Kurtzy piled up all his votes from the last 5 or 6 seasons he wouldnt have
enough to win a low count. Medals are a midfielders domain anyway,
Only Kennedy could buck that trend and he hasn't been as good
as last year.
Same reason Trigger wont poll as well as for Nuri.

Hey pitbull you should worry about your own backyard with thugs like bascombe and harvey in your side. Kingy does like to stir the pot but he can also back it up if required unlike those 2 that continually go around sniping behind the play. There is nothing wrong with our culture as evidenced by the amount of parents that bring their kids to our club to learn their skills. We must be doing something right.

The Lions got over the coach-less Bulldogs by 11 points.
The Barossa Tigers only managed to get up by 12 points in a scare from the Bombers.
Match of the round bragging rights went to the Gawler Tigers by a 29 point margin over the mighty panthers.
What an interesting day it turned out to be. In an effort to get a good park to watch the game, I decided to park my car at the gate the night before to avoid an influx of Gawler Central supporters.
After eventually getting my park and being mugged overnight by some Gawler juveniles wearing Black and yellow jumpers, I was set to watch the match of the round.
At half time I decided to head over to the bar and get a beer, before I got pick pocketed.
After the game I went to go back to my car, but to my surprise, my Mercedes Benz had been stolen.
It was eventually found in a back street at Evanston torched. The only thing that was retrievable was my "Brenton Bascombe" supporter badge.
As far as the footy went the Tigers were very good in dismantling the undermanned Panthers. The Tigers ball movement and ball handling was slick and left the young panthers wanting.

Very good Osama but I'm sure the Benz was a HQ Kingswood ute and I would like to know what happened to Ma, Pa, Bobby Sue, the 10 kids, 4 dogs, 3 cats and 6 goats that would have been in the back of the ute when it went up.
