He needs to harden up and start bowling the way he can bowl instead of crying about what his mum is saying in the media.

Watson and McDonald staking claims against Northants.

It'd be Hauritz to miss, surely.

Nah, because Tait would get injured and never ever acheive what Mitchell already has. People have very short memories. If you are taliking about people needing to toughen up then Tait would be one of the first blokes who needs that advice.

I can't see Hauritz being dropped. He hasn't been that bad this series.

But the wicket is wet and green at the moment with the curator saying they will nedd at least two days of sun for any chance to prepare it. More rain and just one more day with the covers on will make it hard for Hauritz to play.

Why would they drop Hauritz?

He has performed very well this series so far.

Watto got another 50 off 35 balls
Manou got 59 not out

Australia declared 270/3 in 52 overs  very fast scoring. with a lead of 352 with two sessions to win the match, and hopefully Johnson will find some form

Johnson is currently 0/45 off seven overs in their second dig. IMO he shouldn't be considered for selection for the third Test and I'd be very surprised if they do pick him with a second string Northamptonshire side taking him to the cleaners. This is train-wreck stuff.

Given this assesment of the pitch Hauritz may be ulucky and make way for either McDonald or Watson. Particularly if Johnson loses his spot it will be handy to strengthen the batting with Watto or McDonald.

I think The Cadet is right, If the weather continues to persist i think the selectors have to replace Hauritz (Just for this test).

The question is with who?

Clark looked very good in the tour game and must be considered, as did Watson and McDonald, the only player who was down again was the out of form Johnson. Do they give him another chance or do the selectors say Clark for Hauritz and Watson/McDonald for Johnson??

What is everyones thoughts?

If Hauritz doesn't play it's between McDonald and Watto for that spot. I favour McDonald just as the wicket will suit his style of bowling moreso than Watto (there's also the will Watto get through the match issue). Then it's a call on whether or not Clark comes in for Johnson. I'd prefer Johnson to be given another chance but i have a feeling going by some comments in the media that he may be in trouble.

I think if the pitch is going to be green and wet then they will replace Hauritz with either Watson or Mcdonald, not sure who they both performed well in the tour match. I still don't think they will replace Johnson.

McDonald for Hauritz if it is wet and green, No changes if not.

Clark is very unlucky IMO, Bowled really well in the tour match.

Johnson should get another test but whether he does or not is something we will have to wait and see.

you can not sit and wait selectors will need to be proactive as they can not carry players.

I think you could see Macca for North and Hauritz will stay as he is bowling well may be the best bowler so far with hilfy.
