How good was the Cats vs Hawks game? Awesome win!!

How good is Selwood? BOG that game.

Whats with the female commentator?

She did good but she brought nothing new to the table, so why was she there, besides the obvious?

It sounded as if she grew up listening to footy all her life and was well informed as a commentator should be, she obviously used to practice into her "hairspray can-microphone" when she was a kid.

But all her terms were just old adages used by commentators before her.

I could barely hear her voice over the crowd roar, even when she was "excited".

So why do it to us Channel 10? Why on the big day, on the big game, thrust a female commentator on us?

I turned off the TV-sound and listened to Rex Hunt, Nathan Buckley and Dennis Commetti on the radio.

I gave her her chance, until after half time, but i couldnt even hear the call properly.

DIDNT WORK CH 10!

Goal Umpires- OK, commentators NO. Not unless she was a female Rex Hunt, and was unique for her calling ability and not her gender.

She didn't get the job because of her gender.
She got it because she has been around football working hard over the past decade.
She knows her football and from what I understand is highly respected by those with whom she works.
Just my thoughts.

Not to be sexist but I have to agree with Foxy. She will never reach great heights with her commentary, not in the AFL.

Bear in mind 10 have the GF. Please oh please no.

How is the big unit Pete Dempsey going this year? Have seen his name in the goal kickers whenever I have bothered to look but not in the best players.

They caught up to us at the Paringa Hotel.
Was hilarious.
A few boys nearly got arrested for chasing and patting the dog.
Great fun!
