Man, was I disappointed, the shower pressure was as bad a compass the week earlier and the temp fluctuated between hot and cold. I was not impressed. I hope this isn't the norm for this comp. Someone tell me there are good showers out there, cause the way I am playing that is all I have to look forward to on a Saturday afternoon.........

I think that was the first problem we have had and we have a new, larger hot water system being installed soon. I guess it could be worse (you could be at Yank, Myponga or you could have played at home). But as compensation for you, i am glad you had the privillage of playing on a flat oval with grass (side note: that is the general concept of a playing field). Compass is more suited to a cow race or chasing a wheel of cheese down the slope so complaining is not an option for you.

bays new set up is awsome, and is a credit to its commitee and volunteers who spent a fair bit of summer slogging away at it, led by old man Don Rumbelow. Probably the only downside to the new set up is the shower pressure, the home rooms has good pressure but the away rooms have awsome pressure, its like a massage after a game.

Often on tues / thurs you see blokes sneaking into the away ones to grab a shower.

At the end of the day its pretty trivial really though fellas, i mean if having a decent shower is all you worry about on saturdays you probably need to get your prioritys straight.

lets play a game, predict the final ladder, dont worry about points etc, ill start off with out looking at much and you guys can fight over more detail and at the end see who gets the closest.

Langhorne Creek - wont loose a game for the rest of the year
Willunga - will be beat by creeks last game of year
Mt Compass - have a pretty smooth run home with a few danger games whoever wins the game in round 17 will take this spot.
Strath - will loose to willunga towards end of year (and hopefully bays this sat)
Victor - these guys have the better run home
Bays - on even points or just slightly ahead of goolwa
Goolwa - on even points or just slighty below bays
McLaren - have a bad run home with some tough games
Myponga
Yank

and my premeirship favourite - Creeks (will pull everything $$$$$$ together to get the flag)

I'm not sure why ur getting so defensive....... It was merely an observation that the shower pressure/temp was not good as the showers area looked quite new. I know Compass is sh#t, on and off the ground.... that wasn't the point though. If we stick our head in the sand and just say ÿou could have had worse", then things don't get improved. Oval was in great nick, it would help having that sand base down there!!

To answer my own question, today's results were:

MCLAREN 13-15 .d. MYPONGA / SELLICK 9-8
LANGHORNE CREEK 16-12 .d. MOUNT COMPASS 7-10
WILLUNGA 14-20 .d. YANKALILLA 6-6
VICTOR HARBOUR 19-8 .d. GOOLWA/PT ELLIOT 10-10
STRATHALBYN 23-18 .d. ENCOUNTER BAY 3-3

The most suprising result from today, hopefully not a miss print!!

Reserves
YANKALILLA 8-5-53 Drew WILLUNGA 5-23-53

Ok so it was 28 scoring shots to 13, but well done to the Yank lads!!
