Ha, cheers mate! Got 3 of top 4 sides coming up unfortunately, but we'll see how we go. Super coach (the caretaker's caretaker) is away this weekend too I'm led to believe.. ;)

I just always felt after a loss that it really hurt me to hear my opponents happy and singing their club song, so I liked to serve up a bit of that pain back when we won without carrying on like a pork chop and being disrespectful. Plus I am proud of my club and my clubs song so I love singing it !!

Well coached, killed us out of the middle.

Good luck mate.

The song should be sung in the rooms unless its the Grand Final, show respect to the opposition, go in to your rooms and sing it hard!

I like the song sung on the Oval, nothing better then being in the backyard, and hearing a song belted out (preferably Locks)

Why is it disrespectful to sing it on the ground ???

I reckon it's disrespectful to NOT sing it on the ground.

Anyway, I have added a poll to settle this debate. VOTE AWAY!!!

Nothing gives the opposition the sh^ts any more than a club singing their song twice, so DO IT!

every team we have played sings their song on the oval. i have never found anything wrong with singing it on the oval nor if the opposition sing it on the oval. sometimes we are told to listen to the oppositions song when we lose.

That's just not cricket...

Well...it isn't...it's footy. I agree, sing it twice. No room for princesses in footy.

On the oval so the kids can join in and see the jubilation of a victory and the spectators get a bit of a chill up their spine then a closed rendition for the players and officials.

Choccies, this is the reason I believe that you dont sing it on the oval.
I remember in 2004 Fitzroy gave us a wholloping in the last round of the year on our oval, followed by a rousing rendition of their club song (undefeated for the season). This burned, and there celebrations unfortunately were short lived as we beat them in the GF. Would think that the club song played a small part in spurring us on.
Just an opinion.
