Good to hear. IMO you should always strive to play at the highest level possible no matter of your talents. Some people like myself this might only be A Grade footy, but the more talented people this should be association/zone. The really talented people like your good self Donkey this would include playing at league level. ;) Young Ned fits this category.

Fantastic to see Two Wells giving him the couragement he needs as they do with all of their many talented youngsters they posess.

From all reports he did well - Laird had a chat to him which he was pleased about - Two Wells also had young 17 yr old Hooper in the same game for the Eagles.

Good to hear Jumbo, you'd be as proud as punch :D

How does that Jason Earl bloke go now? I remember playing against him when he was at Eagles. Pity he gave up a league career for bush footy.

While we're on this subject I'd like to put a few names forward that I believe are capable of and have a future playing at a higher level if they committ while they are still young enough to be further developed in a more professional system.

Mallala:
Angus Bruggerman (18)
Rimmer (24)
Joel Mongomerie (21)

Two Wells:
Ned Seccafien
Andrew Hardiman (19?)

Virginia:
Ranga Nykamp (17)
Cocchiaro ?? (?)

United:
Brodie Brown  baggage

Balaklava:
dont know many of these

HWE:
young Jezza (17)
young goalkicking machine ?? Jack/ace? (17)

Hamley
Schahinger (22)

Any other suggestions boys, I'm certain I would have missed a few

Dallas Hill, already at Centrals after they paid WWT $5000 or so to get him across to the Ponderosa, played the last couple U/18s games for them, enjoying it so far I think. Also from our club, perhaps Tommy Rowe if he grows a bit, and in 10 or more years look out for young Nathan Studham, the Wakey post master Rob's son. Comes from good stock, Rob played a WAFL game in his younger days, and even better they're all Essendon supporters!

You heard it first... ;)

He was no orphan there Hazbeen! In his two games so far though, couldn't have been more impressive in the way he goes about it. Does a lot of hard work that may go unnoticed by the sideline supporter, and certainly isn't afraid to try anything to get under the opposition's skin, if it can give our side an advantage. Even to the point of intentionally getting stuck into Whiskey on Saturday! Gold. Think he might have even worn one for his troubles, but didn't worry him any.

We have a very young lad still playing Mini's called James Hunter. Plays Junior colts every week and would be in our top 5 players in that grade. He was even asked to play Senior colts on Saturday, Mum said yes but big sister said no. Big sister won out.

Always good to see the young cocks perform on the bigger stage - plenty of incentive for young Ned against the Eagles who never really gave him much of a crack and another example of the lack of work done in our zone from the Eagles.

Does anyone know the Eagles rep? Is he/she ever out at games other than association matches?

Not being given 'much of crack' is not generally the fault of the rep.

Didn't mean to suggest it was - Ned was not given much of a crack at the Eagles, played out of position, trying to change the way he plays etc etc. He didn't enjoy it.

The fact that the rep had never seen Ned or the 10's of other lads play in this comp in home and away matches, is an indictment on the Eagles as an organisation. If the Eagles rep has been to any matches I would love to hear about it. The fact that the Eagles only ever showed any interest at all when Centrals asked to clear him also does not show them in a good light.

IMHO the Eagles don't deserve any of our lads, at least Centrals are somewhat proactive and only 15 minutes away doesn't hurt either.

I guess we can only speak based on our own experiences Jumbo, great to see Ned get a crack at it anyway regardless of which club he's at. Only time will tell if the Eagles rep got it wrong, lets hope for Ned's sake he did. The test of Neds committment will come when he has to make a call finals time I guess, as Centrals 2's are 3rd and play their qualifying and semi finals on the Sunday of the APFL prelim and GF weekend respectively.

Talkin son's of gun's, Andy Michael's boys are going to be special. Sam at 8 is dominating the mini's and Tom at 6 gets more ball than kids twice his size in the mini-mini's plus there is a third tottering around waiting to have his turn.

Yes I think he might of, I was pretty close by and the big fella's eyes rolled back when little Belperio starting mouthing off. Dominating performance by the big ugly man after being off his game the week before against the Pies. His brother, Freddy, also took some great grabs up forward to along with Benny Lamond be the difference between the sides with Jericho and Thomas quiet.
