Have Sturt ever had any supporters in that age bracket???

Yep when Hartley Bagshaw, Bo Morton and Gil Langley played....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I reckon it might have been because the original topic on cdfc.info (as per link above) that was started up by MATT IN WA had him thinking it was the Port game at Alberton as well. ;)

Needless to say, it would be interesting to see what the Dogs' WIN/LOSS ratio over the 999 games has been so far.

I txtd one of the admin last night and he didn't know why it was down. I'm sure nai is onto it. Maybe a phishing (the technobots can correct me on that) attack or problems with the server given how much the site has grown in the past 12 months (members wise and traffic).

The overflowing bandwagon is haveing an effect in more ways than one down at Brighton Rd.

It's down again ... I think tthe server needs more than just a reboot as the site has been flakey for at least a couple of weeks now.

Hmmm, I thought this weeks game was being billed as the 1000th, hence the ABC radio pre-game.

As for the game itself, it looks like it will be a ripper of a game. Both teams doing what they needed to win last week, and with top spot up for grabs, a fiercely contested match is to be expected.

My early tip is Centrals by 5 points.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

You sort of get the feeling that this has all happened before with the Dogs seemingly on the decline. They just do enough to get themselves by until the important stuff starts, so a quarter of damaging football gets played here and there amidst some sloppy stuff to avoid having to show their true hand sooner than they have to.
A loss to the Bays here though will see the Dogs one loss off fourth place. I don't think they'd like giving the Bays any sort of mental edge either. I think this is quite an important game in the context of some of the poor footy the Dogs have dished up recently. Is it all part of the plan or are they really having trouble this year?
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

North's (who is the 4th side you are referring to) next 4 games Eagles, Sturt, Glenelg, Centrals. If they can win those 4 not only will they be a final 3 side but also a serious premiership contender! And they could take either Sturt or Centrals possie.

Agree about North being the sleeping giant because they have such a potent forward line, which will be handy with the nice clear days of September down at AAMI, a pretty talented midfield and an ever-improving defence.

Back to the game at hand with a question for Bays fans...

How is Justin McConnell's form in the 2's and is he a chance to come into the side this week, he always seems to play against Central.

McConnell has been getting lots of the ball in the 2's but (unfortunately for him) because of the depth at the moment hasn't been able to crack a spot back in the seniors.

I'd be vey surprised if he plays seniors again this year unfortunately, unless Rubbers wants him to upset the Gowans again. ;)

He has only played a couple of league games this year hasn't he dedja ???

If he is not getting a game in the seniors, is he a chance to move to another club or go back home to Victoria next season ?

I think he played the first 5 games this year.

Yes, interesting question. I commented on this a few weeks back. I think if he doesn't get back into the league side by the end of the year that there is a chance he could leave the club, either by transfering to another club in Adelaide, or you say, go back to Victoria.

As you know the Snouts sponsor him so it's a shame that he's hasn't been able to cement a league spot this year.

Hopefully Macca's time will come. As for him leaving the club, not sure as he's employed by the SANFL through the GFC, so he has to think about that too....
