It was a 3 dose alternate days oral vaccine - it built up on me. It is a live attenuated form so you can expect a mild dose of Typhoid from it.
Last dose yesterday, woke up this am with flu-like symptoms and the trots, but it seems to be settling now.
I'm going to Travel Bug this arvo for advice - may need to have Hepatitis A & B shots.
I also need a prescription for an antimalarial for the NE region of South Africa - possibly Malarone which is expensive but effective - but cheaper doxycycline may do for the region.
I thought I'd ask the experts, rather than try to work out the contradictory W.H.O. and other advice from various government agencies myself.

I went to the Travel Doctor, they certainly leave no stone unturned, walked away with a list of jabs as long as my arm. Have only had the Yellow Fever vaccine so far, but typhoid, meningococcal, diptheria, cholera are all to come. Not sure if I'll bother with the Hep A & B or the Rabies vaccine, would be very, very unlucky to contract those diseases.

I'll probably go with Larium as my anti-malarial, yet to do a test dose though.

Travel Bug on Ward St is the choice of GP for Uni students.

Student: Hello Doctor.

Doctor: When was the assignment due?

I'm having an oral Cholera vaccine [Dukoral] which covers the E.coli "Travellers' Diarrhoea" bug as well.
I've had Hep A & Hep B because of my profession.
Travel Bug generally don't give the Rabies vaccine, and just suggest see a doctor within 24 hours if bitten.
My Diphtheria status is confused as I give an odd reaction on test, suggestive of partial immunity, but there isn't time to sort that out now.

Lariam is convenient if you don't have a heart rhythmn fault and aren't on medication that could ad to Lariam's tendency to delay conduction - "Q-T interval prolongation". I used it last trip overseas.
Apparently where I am going and the time of year suggest I don't need Malaria prophylaxis, but I may take some doxycycline with me just in case I get badly mozzie mauled, and decide to play safe...

If you are just travelling around southern Africa then the risk of contracting malaria is pretty low. The doxycycline also contains an antibiotic which will knock those digestive bugs on the head, can increase your sensitivity to UV though.

The are few explanations I can come up with for the wildly fluctuating form and odd umpiring decisions in so many matches:

1. Results are being manipulated to stimulate uncertainty and increase world wide interest in watching matches on the media.
2. Results are being manipulated to get better odds for betting.
3. They are all drunks and therefore form is unreliable.

Any other suggestions?

My wife ordered calamari once when we were in Coober Pedy. I said Dear, we are 800Km from water so not a good move. When those thick processed rings turned up it took me 5 mins to stop laughing.
