Postby cd » Fri Jul 17, 2009 9:59 am

Congratulations to Justin Cicolella playing his 200th this weekend against the Dogs at Elizabeth.

Eagles fans make the trip to show your support of the team and to give Cica recognition he richly deserves for a wonderful 200 games for us.

(Also congratulations to magpie Corey AhChee on his 200th)

Congrats Cica, a very fine effort to reach 200 games and they have been good ones as well.

Well Done Cicca.

We always hire a 2 tonne tray back truck for $95 to get banners to opposition grounds. Much cheaper then a courier and you can drive it on a standard car licence.
BTW, congrats Cicca.

As acting skipper in the 2006 GF, he led from the front in the first quarter of that game. It was his 5th Grand Final and 25th final, and no one more I bet was more determined to right the wrongs of the past. Has the most Magarey Votes out of any current player (109) and is the 2nd player after Gavin Colville to reach 200 matches for the Eagles. It is great to see him have more of an impact on matches this year than the previous two injury riddled years, and while not as imposing on a match as he used to be, he is still a vaulable asset to the team. Well done, Cica on your 200th!

Reaching 200 games was proving to be almost as elusive as Cica is in a tight situation out on the field. His ability to create space out of nowhere and his vision to pick the better, more attacking option that the ordinary player won't even see are his great strengths. He is a champion of the Eagles and has been a delight to watch over the past decade. He always cops the wrath of opposition supporters, as did Colville, as did Payze. A tremendous player over a long time, a match winner on many occasions and most importantly he took it upon himself to bring home a premiership. The sign of a champion.

Credit where it's due - Cicca's been a good player.
Gives as good as he gets.
I reckon at his peak, we'd have had him as one of us.
Well done on 200 games.

He is without a doubt a superstar of not only the Eagles but the SANFL. His 200th game is deserved reward for this club stalwart. Perhaps should have been named bog in the 2006 GF and probably should have also won a Magarey Medal as well. Cica is a club legend. Many thanks to this fantastic club man - it has been a dream watching this man play in the blue, green and gold of the Woodville West Torrens Football Club.

And Cica whilst not being on the winning side today, he made sure it wasn't his fault.
