I know.

Ponting needs to say to him, I do not give a f*** how close the ball is to the stumps you still need to catch it..!

No-one should have to tell him that. It should be well known by anyone keeping wickets that no matter what you expect the ball to come to you. Thinking it is going to hit something isn't acceptable.

Bopara is a spud. Bell is a much better cricketer and surely the English selectors will realise this soon.

Yeah that was my point.

Just thought Ponting could give him a gentle reminder.

Yeah i know but it's a bit of a worry when a bloke keeping wicket at Test level needs to be reminded of that.

Bit harsh with the Johnson criticism lads
Perhaps some short memories of what this outstanding bowler has done in recent times
First time bowling in England
First time bowling with the pommy new ball instead of the kookaburra
2 flat decks

Yes he has bowled below par
SAFOOTY critics are into him
Pommie commentators are getting into him

Even though he is bowling below par look at the stats at Tea day1 2nd test

0/28 CLARKE
0/18 KAT
0/55 nORTH
6/184 HAURITZ
6/153 HILF
4/219 SIZZLE

6/208 JOHNSON Off 55 overs
Just imagine when he bowls up to his standard
AND HE WILL STILL LIKELY BE THE LEADING WICKET TAKER IN THE SERIES FOR BOTH TEAMS

I would be criticising the part time spinners who have bowled 0/101

You would critisise part timers :? Batsmen get judged on batting bowlers get judged on their bowling. Johnson has been absolutely terrible so far this series. I hope he comes good but he deserves all critisism that comes his way at the moment.

Collingwood throws his wicket away.

4/302

How the heck we are somewhat in the game after Mitch's struggle and Hauritz's injury is beyond me. We just need MJ to find some form!

MJ just got an edge of strauss dropping short to ponting. new ball woulda carried.

MJ has just found some swing in the last couple of overs. pity he wont bowl with the new ball, well he might now with the old ball swinging! he looks a bit more dangerous when he is swinging it thats for sure..

have em 5 down at stumps and we are right in it IMO. flat deck to say the least

We are still in this game, surely our batsmen will score heavily against the pathetic Pom attack.

After watching ours last night, I don't know if I can be too critical of other attacks. That was some of the worst Test bowling I have ever seen. There's an old saying in cricket, "You can't set a field to bad bowling", and the look in Ponting's eyes at times last night said it all.

And, I've never been a wicketkepper, but surely it can't be as difficult as Haddin makes it look. He's going to have to continue making 100s to make up for his keeping.
