Ballhog you silly, silly fool! You are not fit to scrape the mud from Marshall's boots.

Do you still play in the Hills league? Do they have a C grade comp?

Put it this way you could of done with him again this year & he would of gone back to back with B&Fs.[/quote]

Clearly he would make the team and contribute solidly but stupid call on B&F. I can only judge him on the one game i saw him play Vs Flinders Park a few weeks ago and while we all have bad games he showed me nothing that would have him in the same ball park as players like DeVries, McLean, Lancaster, Bevelander & Eckermann.

Sounds like you've always been out of your depth when compared to Marshall CV & thats why your nose is out of joint..
Those blokes you've named are no-where in the class of MARSHALL, they may well be ahead of you!

I agree No Mercy. As an opposition player I have seen the master Marshall at work. No wonder Bridgey is a shit club. If a gun player goes out there and is treated like poo just because the locals don't like imports they are doomed to failure.

Bridge(over troubled)water they will remain.

I think that you would find most if not all HFL clubs would have DeVries and McLean over Marshall any day of the week. How many games did you watch Bridgewater play? You guys talk Marshall up as if he is the greatest footballer the state has ever seen. Don't set your standards to high down in town do you.

Read my post again fool, i said i'm sure he would contribute solidly. My nose isn't out of joint and i would agree he would more then likely be better then me and those blokes i named are clearly ahead of me. No problem admitting it. I would imagine Marshall would almost have to be embarrassed the way you carry on about him. Sure he can play footy from all reports but you make him out to be Joel Selwood and Wayne Carey rolled into one!

To say he is as good as McLean or DeVries lacks credibility. If he's your mate good on you for sticking up for him but keep it realistic buddy.

Played footy with all of them and there is no doubt that mclean, fosdike, eckerman & devries are far better footballers than marshall was last year. Not saying that marshall wasnt a great footballer in his day, but last year he was nothing special.

Some interesting games this weekend -

Lofty v Birdwood: You would think Lofty will come out firing having had the weekend off to think about their performance against Ironbank. Roosters to put up a good fight with a couple back possibly, but suggest Devils to come out on top at home. Devils by 7 goals.
Bridgewater v Lobethal: Tigers would give themselves a chance to end losing sequence, couple key players back from injury will help. Will be tough in the mud/bog of bridgewater however. Suggest a close one with Tigers to end their 30-odd game losing steak just. Tigers by 1 goal.
Hahndorf V Barker: Traditional rivals and usually a good game. Magpies to continue their winning form. Mt Barker have been disappointing this year after finishing top 3 in minor round of 08.
Blackwood v Uriadla: Match of the round. Two sides in good form and look to match up well on each other. Key to blackwood is Gigney & Roache. Cut supply to them and you make it very difficult for woods to put the score on the board, think demons have players to do just this. Plenty of room at windy hill so suggest a real shoot out. Uraidla by 2 goals.
Onkas V Ironbank: Young Ironbank side with thier tails up after win against Lofty. Will once again look to Brdley to get them going, but a few youngsters starting to get some confidence and contributing nicely too. Experience of Klun, Shee & co to see dogs over the line however. Dogs by 5 goals.
