Believe birdwood have spent a bit as well.

WAHH $1200 a game, that is crazy, i knew of 600 700 hundred but didnt know it got much higher. bit late to realise he is not worth it. i knew birdwood had spent some, more than previous years thats for sure. i am astounded that a guy could be getting over a g banga a week to kick leather around in an amatuer comp. i guess who would refuse that coin. reckon 6 200 dollar players would be more worth while.

Would probably be handy in the B grade. Club have done the right thing by recruiting younger talented players that can stay for several years. Have been unlucky due to some key players being injured.

Ha ha, didn't he win your B&F? Your club has recruited for years now and no-one stays. Can't see why the recruits age will change this.

Not worth it now? really?, I struggle to understand how any player currently running around in the HFL is worth $1,200 to begin with. If that figure is correct (which i highly doubt it is. But hopefully you've got your info from a source with more credentials then down at the local pub), then the club who he belongs to has NFI and deserves to be sitting in the bottom 4 for being so stupid.

considering that you could probably get 3 reserves level players for $400 each... at least those three would be able to kick to eachother!!

Would need to win all their remaining matches wouldnt they? Have they played Uri or Blackwood second time round yet?

Haven't played Uri or Blackwood. Have played Hahndorf and Lofty. Considering we are 3 wins + %out of finals it's a mighty tough ask. A win over Onkas this week and it would be possible.

Haven't played Uri or Blackwood. Have played Hahndorf and Lofty. Lofty won't miss finals, so would have to win all games with Onkas having easiest run home of any team I reckon.

Jeez, I hope Ironbank do beat Onkas this week!! I would certainly make it a bit easier for Birdwood to make the 5. ;)

But with both Birdwood and Onkas still to play Lobey for the second time, it's almost impossible for Ironbank to make the finals, especially since they would have to beat Uri's or Blackwood.

Marshall could come back up and play kick to kick with Robbo on the side lines
if he misses the place that much

Heard from an Onkas player that they didnt train on their oval last night because it was too boggy after all the recent rain. If this is true and Balhannah Oval is too wet to train on then what is the state of some of the other footy ovals around the hills in particular Bridgewater, Heathfield, Blackwood and Mt Barker? Especially since there are matches being played at the first 3 mentioned grounds this weekend.

I couldnt imagine any oval being in great shape at the moment with all the rain lately. Tipping Bridgewater is deplorable, if it isn't now a lagoon. Very lucky we had the bye on the weekend.
